Service was also reasonably good but at one point I had to hail a waiter to take the food order as they just did not come to our table. Admittedly, it was packed (Saturday night) but still they should keep an eye out for those who still need to order their food. The waiters just walked past and served the other tables for the extra drinks etc.. The first drinks on arrival, however, were quickly served so no drama there. The ambiance... well, it is a great place to go to, a brown café as we call it and a fun place to be. But..... the music was too loud after a while (André Hazes..) and you could hardly talk. I don't think a café bar restaurant should turn up the noise to make it "gezelliger". Especially when it is packed. Maybe later in the evening when the dining is finished you can turn it up a bit but not when people are still sitting around their tables enjoying their meal. Next time we will try a weeknight to see if the noise is less. I do hope so!

No swing set, but that's probably a good thing. The food and service are excellent. I had carpaccio and it was nothing less than perfect. My daughter had salmon, also excellent. The fries are delicious! with mayonnaise, of course. The service is attentive & accommodating. Can't imagine leaving George anything but happy with your choice of restaurant.

It's hard to describe in words just how charming the poffertjes stand was! Too cute. And the poffertjes were good - and the beverages were delicious (mint tea, cappuccini, etc.). Contrary to one of the previous reviewers, I've had the pleasure of trying poffertjes in many…read morelocations, so if not an expert, I'm at least an experienced enthousiast. I can say that these are the best I've ever had (although I may be biased; I come here since the age of 4, or thereabouts). The menu is not long, basically it is poffertjes (plain, wirh rum, ginger or Gran Marnier), dutch waffels (thinner and more crunch than Brusselse or Luikse) and drinks. That's all you will need, though. The enormous poffertjes hob is impressive, the waffel oven is beautiful. As is the "kraam" itself (at least from the front and inside). Worth a visit in itself. It is correct this place is not open all year round, between april and september you are in the clear, though (summer, basically). I believe they open mid april and close mid september.
