The first thing I noticed wrong was the bread. It was flat and hard like a cracker. Not soft like I had expected and it was more stale than anything. Not like a pressed Cuban sandwich either, just flat and hard and impossible to eat. I asked for extra chimichurri and I didn't get it but no big deal. I decided to just eat the steak and peppers off of the sandwich instead. The steak was cooked perfectly but it lacked flavor. It was ok I ate it and added a little salt but nothing great. The poppers were ok. Not really spicy and a bit greasy. The menu has a great variety of options from Cuban sandwiches, burgers, shrimp, chicken and steak. And the CC Food Truck team are some incredible people who have a great passion for what they do. The menu kicks ass. You can get a dog with different types of creative toppings. Each one of the menu items have a crazy name for them and it suits each one well. I wanted to try all of them, but I stopped myself from doing so. The Exchange Student was ahhhh-mmazing! It was topped with garlic mayo, pineapple, and potato chips. The bun was perfectly toasted with butter and I enjoyed each bite more than the last. My husband got the Principal Ron and it was topped with bacon, BBQ sauce, and goat cheese. I took a bite of his and it was good, but I wanted mine more ;) Kudos to the guy that was doing the orders that night since he was the only one on the truck doing all the work. Even though it was the longest line out of all of the other food trucks that were there, he quickly handled each order smoothly and didn't stressed about the crowd waiting for those delicious dogs. The schedule is online, so you can check out when and where you can get one or four of these delicious hot dogs. The $5 price is fairly reasonable for each one of them. I definitely will try a different one the next time I visit the truck.

Chinese, hot dogs, sliders, fresh juices but the one that called my attention was a poke bowl. Looking around the trucks to see where this dish was, I finally found Starfish Food Truck, it was the second to last and I was glad I didn't just give up and turned back. When I looked at their menu there were many things I thought I would like: Calamari, Conch fritters, fish tacos, corn on the bob... But I went for the poke and stuck to my decision. The description of the dish included mango (I don't like it) and rice. I asked if I could remove those to ingredients and keep everything else: seaweed, cucumbers, edamame, carrots and pickled onions. Without hesitation the guy cooking said "absolutely, what I'll do is add extra tuna so you don't stay hungry without the rice". How cool is that?!? In about 5 minutes, I had my poke, that looked more like a salad at this point, really nice plated, and absolutely delicious. They also had fresh starfruit juice that my friend bought and said it reminded her of the one her mom made when she was little. She also ordered the cracked conch po'boy and said it was amazing! On top of the quick and friendly service, they are eco-conscious serving everything in recyclable materials, including utensils. Glad I decided to give the trucks a chance today.
