Just one of the many great little examples of solid street food at a crazy fair price. Good food, great service and a great experience from a warm/friendly purveyor. Enjoy!! read more

We weren't in the mood to eat a lot, and everywhere we looked like either the place was too crowded or too busy, and this wasn't an exception, but it would have something small to eat, which was "Tacos al Pastor." These tacos were delightful, and although this place had a Mexican bar and grill vibe, a bit more coastal for my liking, I enjoyed it here tremendously, and even was in the mood for a beer with my food. I only took a picture of the menu, but the tacos al pastor didn't look any different than at other places. We also ordered a queso fondu which was really good. At other tables nearby we noticed some people ordering "fried cheese" which looked pretty tasty, and would try it out next time.

That said, the al pastor tacos were excellent! The maiz (corn) tortilla tacos are smaller but I liked them better than the harina (flour) tacos! Food comes out super fast. Five for the service and atmosphere, 3.75 for the food…read more The room is beautiful and the murals make a lovely backdrop for the meal. Be aware that the prices are high for the locale. There is an English menu available online but not in the restaurant. Here's where I get confused. The service is excellent, full white tablecloth treatment, old-school European style. No detail is missed. Then we get to the food. It's really pretty good, all told. Here's where the attention to details goes sideways. The bread rolls felt as if they had been sitting since yesterday. The beans, although delicious, had sat around on the plate long enough to be room temperature and develop a crust. The totopos stuck in the beans were in the beans long enough to get soggy. The rice served alongside the moles was barely above room temperature and a bit dried out. All the food, in general, needed to arrive from the kitchen much warmer. Essentially, anything that could be made ahead of time was, and then left sitting out. It doesn't fit and I don't get it.
