I have seen this mobile food mobile (I don't know what else to call it) and have never stopped but tonight I threw caution to the wind and pulled over.
The type of food here is taco cart food (duh given the name but I felt compelled to note. On the menu their are tacos de lengua, pastor, carneasada, pescado.... also I noticed that they advirtised having coctelles ... Mexican soda I think jarrito or something...
Know to my personal experience. I had tacos de cabeza and my friend had a carneasada taco. We didn't have to wait long but their wasn't many people around. It was cheap 2 tacos for 2.50. The taco came with some a little bit of chips , salsa, and rabanos of course.
The salsa was good. I prefer a bit more spicier but it was good enough to be enjoyed. Now my taco. First I want to say that I hold my Mexican food to a high standard. Growing up eating authentic Mexican cuisine, none of that fake stuff, has made me very picky with places I go. Anyway the taco was good. So good I could not bear to leave without indulging in another one.
The man behind the food was Salvador and the cashier I think was Hilda and they were both very nice. I am originally from San Diego and have not found a decent taco place here in Northridge until now.
