Nice place hidden down a small street, deep in the shade and just out of the hustle & bustle tourist zone in Toledo. A welcome break from the seemingly never-ending mediocre pizza joints that plague Napoli's Centro Storico. Dark, cool and comfortable with cozy seating and friendly service.
Of course not quite what we'd get in North America, not fresh tortillas, flour option only, but still very good. Probably very spicy by Italian standards, a lightly spicy chipotle mayo is used as "salsa". Tomatoes are chopped coarsely, which is a little awkward but more to Italian standard.
A single shrimp taco is €7, it was pretty good. For an extra €1.50, one can burrito it up with added rice. My spouse got the burrito "fajita" for €8.50 and was very satisfied with what was received. Options for flavours are limited, and are similar across the menu whether in taco, burrito or quesadilla form. Leffe and Corona beer is on tap. I tried a classic margarita, no salt. Not the best, very sweet, made from mix and served lukewarm. I added a bit of Corona to it, which made it more tolerable by cutting the sweetness.
Worth a stop, great place to chill out. read more
