My friend wants to pick up some deli meats for the storm at Costco, Kroger, and Whole Foods. Whole…read moreFoods was all chaos. The car parks were full, shelves were empty, and I rememberedl this place from the Polish Catholic Church. There was no wait. The service was great, and the meats were sliced so thin we could see through them. My friend was allowed to taste everything. The staff explained everything thoroughly. It's just a great stop. It reminds you why living in the most diverse city in the country is a point of pride and fun

So many different kinds of sausages, pirogies and blintzes. Cabbage, potato and cheese, kraut and mushroom pirogies. Apple, raspberry and cheese, chocolate, hazelnut and cheese blintzes Lots of fresh meats and cheeses. If it can be pickled, there is a whole aisle of choices. Lots of Polish dill pickles. Sauerkraut. Beets. Vegetables. Craving borscht/red beetroot soup? They have you covered. Garnish with sour cream, parsley and black sesame seeds. Need a sweet treat to balance all of the savory flavors? Check out the aisles filled with cookies, biscuits and European chocolates. A very interesting store especially is you are looking for Polish kitchen staples. Being from San Diego we know good carne asada and TJ-style tacos/burritos...and Tacos Frontera is…read morewhere it's at!! While visiting family in Houston we were excited to come across a "real" Mexican (as opposed to Tex-Mex...iykyk) taco shop. As soon as you walk in and see the Tijuana and Baja Mexico signs and decor you know you're in the right place. There's an open kitchen, allowing you to watch your carne being grilled on the open-flame grill. That charged meat smell is heavenly! Their guac is chunky and simple (nothing too fancy), hot sauces are tasty (and they have a kick!), tortillas are thin but strong -- holding the goods in just right. It's also nice that they have complimentary tasty, crispy pork rinds -- as opposed to the standard chips & salsa. Portions are ample! They definitely don't skimp on portions -- tons of meat and guac in their tacos and huge, meaty burritos! Prices are fair, especially for what you get! Their dining room is a tad small, but it's very clean and the a/c is good...there's also a nice patio outside. Service was swift and friendly. Food was good. A/C was poppin'. Parking was plentiful. All in all I have to admit that Tacos Frontera comes as close to good San Diego Mexican food as you can get...they would definitely be able to hold their own in San Diego!

The food is absolutely phenomenal. It tastes authentic, freshly made, and just honestly addicting…read more My entire family love to come here and for a good reason. The price to food ratio is beyond reasonable, especially when put up against fast food restaurants (or just many restaurants for that matter) and can serve as a second or even third meal (assuming you don't get lost in the flavor) The staff have always been nice, so no complaints there The only complaint is that it can take a while for your order to be made, especially at peak times. Dining in is hard due to the lack of available seating (all first come, first serve), parking is very limited and you may need to park on the other side of the shopping complex. Last I ordered, there doesn't seem to be a clear way to order ahead Regardless, we still come here often and always have enjoyed the food
