And the ambiance extends out into the entire central plaza with its charming colonial atmosphere. The food and service do not disappoint either. The menu is extensive and traditional and the drinks are great too. Until now I've never included this in a restaurant review, but this small village and this restaurant should be on every tourist itinerary in the Monterrey region.

The Res tacos were perfection. The Pirata was so good we had to order another. The Hibiscus Guava Aguq Fresca was delicious and exactly what we needed on a hot day. Apparently this place is so famous that Adidas makes an "Orinoco" sneaker collaboration. All served with chili sauces of varying degrees of heat. Not sure what makes every taco we tried in Mexico (taco Chula CDMX !) extra delicious, but just like NYC pizza, never experienced a bad one here.
