I could say so much for you to believe me, and it honestly starts with the speedy (and kind) service, flavorful profiles and the pricing! My first visit I just simply couldn't believe it. Each visit, I try something new and I must say that I'm hooked on the Jamaica Margarita (with the tajin rim), and the pork shoulder taco, as well as the chicken taco! The Baja shrimp taco is also in my top 3! The staff is kind, energetic and will remember you; not just from personal experience but from my observations as well. Service is fast, food is hot and it's a great place to be! There is no wi-fi, but it is a FUN and engaging place for sure! I'd recommend a bar seat if you're lucky Warning: You may leave planning your next visit before you've even paid the bill.

One of the servers, Jonah, threw away my "half-eaten" food without asking if I was finished. I didn't realize that was his decision to make, and when I brought it up, he rolled his eyes and responded with a horrible attitude. On a positive note, Sara behind the bar was fantastic, and Alexis was incredibly kind. They both provided the level of service I've come to expect from Taconeta. I hope management addresses this, because one negative interaction shouldn't overshadow the great staff and food that usually keep me coming back.

With their recent expansion, the experience is even better. There's plenty more room for everyone to enjoy their delicious tacos without feeling crowded. As someone originally from Los Angeles, I can honestly say these are the closest tacos I've found to authentic LA-style tacos. It's been difficult to find that same flavor here in El Paso, but this place absolutely delivers. The salsa bar is another highlight and never disappoints. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with the tacos. Don't be surprised if it's busy when you visit, that's usually a great sign. The crowds are there for a reason: the food is consistently delicious and well worth the wait.

It's a little hard to find tucked back in a little strip center. The inside is interesting decor with different theme walls. What was nice is that the staff was very friendly. It was close to closing time so we ordered fast and got our chips and salsa quickly. Loved the homemade chips and that they were still warm. Salsa was ok. I liked my fajitas but I wasn't as blown away with the taste as my co-worker. I had a few pieces of meat that had grizzle when I bit into them. It wasn't as seasoned as I was hoping too. The beans and rice were ok but didn't appear scratch made.

My dad and I ordered 8 tacos total (4 al pastor and 4 asada) for $15.50 which came with complimentary chips and condiments. The salsa rojo/verde, lime, and cilantro all gave an authentic taste to the tacos. I'm not sure what the other two condiments consisted of (mexican coleslaw and celery?) but I didn't feel particularly interested in adding those in. Pastor tasted wonderful; asada was decent but a little dry. It saddened me to see an empty shop on a Wednesday afternoon. The lady that took my order was very sweet. Although their menu prices can't quite compete with food trucks, the value is still reasonable. Consider supporting this local business if you're near Downtown.
