It was cold as hell on this random weekday. There is a parking lot, but it only fits like 5 cars. There is also no where to sit, or stand and eat. So youre just getting these to go, unless you're eating at your car. Obviously this is international and high, so it's loud af while you're waiting for your food. Services was decent, neither friendly or unfriendly. Tacos are $3.50 a piece, which is pretty normal price wise. But the tacos were tiny. Asada was good. The carnitas, I'm guessing it's because we came at like 7:30pm. But it was so dry. Like. I needed that horchata because I was gonna choke. It had good flavor. But maybe I should come back earlier in the day and try. But also, the horchata, you could tell it was a mix. Grainy. A little watery. Overall, I wouldn't return on my own. But it someone asked me to go with them, I wouldn't say no. read more

Favorite truck right now. I recommend to a friend and she drives from Antioch for the food.. recently added nachos. Omg. Hearty portion size I alone could never finish entirely. The carnitas is my family's favorite. I personally feel like the Chorizo tacos are my absolute fave. The shrimp hell all of em. I'm never going to this truck again. Cashier is super petty and barely gives out any sauce. I've come here many times and every time they over charge me for tacos. My gf goes and speaks Spanish to them and gets cheaper tacos. Tf. I wish I could return this food I just got and go somewhere else read more

Best taco truck in the Town I found this place with a friend at 2am I knew it had to be good because it still had people ordering at 2am, they really smack I have only got burritos and tacos and I can say they was both super good there green sauce is different it's the best I ever had I don't like how they be trying to gate keep it I would order a super burrito and they would put only 3 sauces up in the bag but if you ask them for more they give you more which is something I always got to do while there but the food overall 5 stars. read more

It's hard to stand out as a Taco Truck in what is probably the most saturated area of Mexican food options but Novillo just does it. Consistency is key! And the fact that I see repeat customers during my repeat visits let's me know that I'm not the only one who's a huge fan of Novillo. I stick mostly to the tacos and I always get a mix but the Pastor and Carnitas are standouts. And the Chicharrons are bomb too. I love that you can get a good amount of Radishes, Jalapeños and Carrots. Always get extra salsa and save it for your eggs if you don't use it all. **The Asada Fries are so good! Eating them is like having a flashback to 2am college nights. I can't be the only one! read more

My First time here yesterday and I got two steak burritos with everything! includes Sour cream and cheese For $20 which isn't that bad other places are about two dollars less ! Can't complain the burritos are soo worth it ! plus before I left I gOt a horchata which was pretty good I'm very picky when it comes to my horchata some places have it to thick from the rice . Oh I got a can of coke so that was an Extra $3.50 for the drinks I'll definitely come here to get my burritos read more

My three-year-old and I are Novillo regulars. We come every Monday night and my son always screams hola and runs around like a crazy boy. I always get pastor tacos and he always gets a quesadilla with azada. They are very generous with the meat. When they messed up my order once, the next week they refused to charge me full price -- even after I insisted repeatedly, they handed my money right back to me! Great tacos, great people. read more

Ain't gone cap this might be one of the best taco trucks in Oakland ...I've been trying diff trucks since I moved here and none are consistent but this truck has got it right every time....and the main thing I love about this truck is when I order steak burritos/tacos/quesadillas the steak is not chewy and a bunch of fatty pieces I have to spit out it's flavorful and cooked well...you should deff try this truck read more

Exceptional tacos. This is one of my favorite taco spots in Oakland. My litmus test for tacos is usually the tacos al pastor and they did not disappoint. The meat and the tortillas are fresh and tasty. Salsas are good and so are the sides (pickled carrots and jalapenos). read more

BESSSSSSSSST burritos and tacos and everything else you want to satisfy your Mexican cravings! I always order the grilled chicken & carne asada tacos, and asada or veggie burritos with everything in it. The green and red salsas are so good, and the whole grilled pearl onions are to die for. The food is always made piping hot to order and it's made with the freshest ingredients. You can taste the love in every bite. It just gets better and better. But since then and nowadays they have tougher competition that I prefer to go to over them and recently started to develop a hate and love relationship here. It used to be my die hard go to taco truck. This truck for me makes delicious carnitas burritos and pollo tacos. And a sleeper is the al pastor burrito and suadero tacos. That al pastor isn't made from the trompo but the seasoning and juiciness of their version in the burrito is what makes it one of the best burrito options on there if you haven't tried it. Carnitas burritos is super delicious because you get that nice crispiness of the fried tender pork with the rice, cheese and sour cream. I like to ask for onions, cilantro and tomato in mines for variety and freshness to cut the heaviness of the fats and dairy. Tacos I normally would get or recommend is the Carnitas, Pollo, Cabeza, Suadero, and Asada. Carnitas are as delicious as explained with the burrito. Pollo or known as chicken tacos are super tender and juicy. It's also very flavorful, and one of my favorite chicken tacos to get here because most places don't make chicken very well and are usually very dry. The cabeza is super tender and a great option. Suadero just like the asada is just a better version of the asada cut. It's packed with more flavor and seasoning than the asada and slightly more tender which is why I prefer it to the regular steak. I tend to find the asada more dry and sometimes tough. Recently the pricing doesn't reflect on the fairness of the portion size. $4 tacos but the meats aren't as packed. Felt like they started to skimp because of rising costs but has been happening before then. $15 burrito but the sizing isn't as filling as it used to be. I started to see more rice than meat. They've also started to be very stingy with a huge attitude especially the gentleman that works on the pick up station when asking for extra pickled veggies, limes and salsa. And it happens every time for the past several years now. For example he gave me 2 limes, 4 pieces of sliced pickled carrots, 2 slices of pickled jalapenos, 3 radishes, and 1 rojo salsa for an order of a super burrito and 7 tacos. When I asked for extras the gentleman gave me an attitude and said he already did and won't give more. Only reason I still go here is because it's close to home and if my favorite spots for tacos are closed for the night.
