They go under (Grullense's Tacos) on DoorDash, but I've always known them as Tacos El Grullo from high school up til now. Had the best Burritos, tacos and a Smokey red & green salsa that stood out among the rest. Service was always great! Placed an order through DoorDash and they were on it and had it on the way in less than 15min which was awesome! I ordered the (California Burrito) which comes with fries, pico, cheese and "choice of meat" I always opt for Asada cause it's preference and I like it. Normally a California Burrito also comes with guac but I opted not to pay the extra for a side of it. The burrito was HUGE! normally I've gotten burritos from here that fit inside this one. But here's the problem. The fries are better on their own. Not in this burrito. The tortilla was thin so you could feel the thickness of them through the burrito that they started to rip through. The fries were great! Loved to have a side of them. Crispy, well seasoned, soft in the middle. Just didn't deserve to be in this burrito. Pico was overpowering, hardly any cheese and mostly at the bottom of the burrito. The meat was very fatty towards the middle and bottom. Overall not too bad on the seasoning, but I've definitely had better from them. I also ordered an Al Pastor Taco and a side of grilled onions and Serrano Chilis. They're a little more spicier than jalapeños. The taco shell was very greasy but had a great overall flavor. The meat on the other hand was not good. It was overly salty, way too finely chopped to where it was just mush. Took a few bites but couldn't finish it and it was a small taco for $3 and change. Gonna be a pass for me. Side Note: this spot does charge for extra salsas and they are 50 cents on the app. The salsas that I once remembered and loved left a different taste on my tastebuds. The green sauce did not pair well at all with the California Burrito, it gave it a weird Smokey/Sweet flavor that was thrown off completely from the French fries texture and flavor. I got toward the end and didn't even finish all my sauces and ate the burrito dry. It just didn't add anything good by using it. I'm a sauce guy too! So that was disappointing. Overall I would try coming back, I would get a regular or wet burrito and try the chorizo next time. read more

I've been coming for as long as I remember. That staff has changed throughout the years, but the care that goes into every order and conversation doesn't go unnoticed. Lately I tend to go on Sunday's after church and I always see the same people who make it a tradition and you know have been coming here for years. I've only ever tried the tacos and the tortas and have never been disappointed. My wife tends to get the breakfast burrito and adds asada and beans with some green salsa. She enjoys it just as much as I do. The place has really come up through the years and it has that modern look and no where near that hole in the wall place it looked to resemble like. Came on a Tuesday night around 5PM with 3 other friends while staying in Visalia. We came for the Taco Tuesdays special $1 for a selected few meats. I ordered the al pastor, Chile verde, and cabeza. We each had 3 tacos each and a large carne asada fries to share. The tacos were really yummy and travels pretty well (for 5 mins) and the staff wrap it in aluminum foil to keep warm, the tacos are served with pickled carrots (still crunchy!!). The meats for the tacos were pretty tender and flavorful. We were slightly disappointed in the fries, I wished the fries were more crunchy and crispy - the carne asada on top was generous but maybe a suggestion would be to include guacamole or avocados on top. The only concern would be during pick up - make sure to mask up and be aware of how many people are inside (it should only be 8 at a time). I've tried the asada/chili verde tacos/burrito (with the fixings) and menudo. It was some good eating. I like that the salsas are spicy, especially the red one. A red and green salsa usually came with my order and I pour salsa with every bite. I asked for some extra salsa and believe they were charging $1 for that tiny (maybe 1oz) container. Let's start by the taking of the order of the food; either there is a language barrier between the order taker and the cooks, because when I receive my receipt it never reflects what I ordered. Best place in Visalia to stop for some great tacos! Highly recommend the lengua tacos or the wet burritos. The red salsa is spicy so if you're not into spicy food, I recommend you ask to get your tacos without it or with the green salsa instead. If you're looking for quality food and service then avoid this restaurant. During my order of 7 tacos, I asked for the salsa to be on the side rather than on the taco given that it was my first time coming here. I was only given two little cups of salsa and any additional salsa would have a fee. I would think since I asked for salsa on the side that I would get a fair amount for the tacos, but that was not the case. In addition, I do not believe I've ever had tacos with so much grease on the tortilla. I literally had oil floating around the plate. I wish I did take a picture to upload.
