The salsa that comes with it is made from roasted or sun-dried peppers. We also ordered a few other types of meat (the pork and carne asada, I believe). Everything was delicious, but the barbacoa tacos just blew me away. So simple and so... exquisite. Being the delicate, feminine creature that I am, I only ordered two tacos. Then I ate some of his. Then we ordered more to take back home to my family. I'm just a regular white girl, so my idea of tacos is usually something fried, piled with cheese and lettuce and sour cream and other random toppings. But when I tell you these tacos are perfect...
