I've been to taco Teresa's twice, and both times the food was very authentic and delicious. It's a very comfortable atmosphere. You order at the counter, sit down, and they bring you your food. So there's no waiting for a server to take your order, etc.. They have nice beers on tap and it's actually in a really good location at least for us, close to home. You can mix and match street tacos, and finish off with a really delicious Tres leches. Definitely one of my favorite places now. Prices are higher than if you were to go to one of the hole in the wall, Mexican restaurants, but you're paying a little extra for a really comfortable restaurant experience. read more

Had three street tacos before the 5:00 p.m. deal and was little over $7 including tax. All tacos have maximum meat that you could put on them. They were all fantastic. Pleasantly surprised by this place. I was here once before and got the torta el pastor which was great. They even have free chips and salsa! I was in the area for a meeting and thought I would try it again and I'm glad I did. This time, I had the shrimp taco and a street taco with barbacoa. Good Mexican food in the twin cities isn't the easiest to find. We have found a great place. Taco Teresa's is worth checking out. We have gone twice now and will continue going back to Taco Teresa's when we crave some good Mexican food. Our kids love the quesadillas. This last time we ordered 3 types of street tacos and a torta. The tacos are served with 2 corn tortillas with that authentic Mexican flavor. The barbacoa is tender shredded beef. Delicious. The pastor is tender pork and pineapple. Perfect blend of sweet and salty. The campechano is grilled steak and chorizo (crumbled sausage). Sounds awesome, but was just ok. All the tacos are served with onions and cilantros. The torta was huge. Can easily feed 2 people. You can choose your meat, we went with carne asada, well seasoned and tender. The bread was fantastic. It was a bit heavy with the guacamole and sour cream. Would recommend asking them to be light on it. Other than that, the bread, meat, gauc, beans, and veggies just go perfectly together. We'll be ordering these again. The tres leches was just ok. It has a good frosting and a bit of condensed milk (which makes the tres leches awesome). It was a good cake, but missed being a true tres leches. read more

This place is phenomenal! I too missed Baja Sol and their AYCE chips and Salsa Bar. Their Green Avocado is amazing, so is their Rojo. Most Salsa's are Spicey, except the the two I mentioned. The Taco's are absolutely Amazing. Great portions, the Combo Steak / Chorizo is a Must every time. In fact, after writing this I think I am going g to drive there now. Staff is so Nice. This place is much better than Baja Sol ever was, try the Tortilla Soup as well, so Yummy! Keep up the Great Work Taco Theresa's. My family and I will always be back! read more

One word - Awful. Had the shrimp taco, shrimp smelled and tasted fishy. Shrimp is not supposed smell fishy. I was afraid to eat it. Then had the tortilla soup which tasted weird and smelled even worse. Soup was probably sitting around forever. I was afraid to eat it as well. And finally the beef taco. Meat was tasteless and dry. This place has totally good Mexican food. Not only do they have a full menu here, but the people who work there are really friendly. Not only do they make sure to do my order right, but it is actually made fresh, unlike other places. I like how they offer street tacos who are only a little hungry. Great way to try their food, and still save some money. The tacos are corn tortillas that might seem small, but pack a whole lot of ingredients, with a lot of flavor. One of the best places in town. So worth another visit, especially for some of their enchiladas, which I have actually heard are just so good. read more

I ordered the Teresa's platter with carne asada and my friend got two barbacoa tacos. The carne asada was good (the only reason I gave it a two) and it's pretty hard to screw up lettuce and sour cream but as for the rest, not so much. The rice, while not terrible, was lukewarm, the beans were barely lukewarm and tasteless, and there wasn't even any cheese with the platter. I didn't notice it said it didn't come with it by why wouldn't it? The chips were a step up from edible and none of the salsa's were very good. I mentioned that I had gone there to a few other people and almost everyone turned there nose up in disapproval, now I know why. Needless to say I will not be going back, at least not to this one. Called Minnetonka location to report that I did not receive the 4 tortillas with my Fajita meal. They were only willing to give me 10% off my next time in. How do you eat fajitas without tortillas? When I said that doesn't make up for it. The manager said, "that's all you get." I said there won't be a next time, and they were ok with that. Love your food, but...terrible service today (And last time, too, if I'm being honest). Ordered through Grubhub today. Ordered 3 meals, 1 of which was fajitas (all came in 1 bag, which was tied when it arrived.) Fajita toppings (lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, tomatoes) were missing, as was our salsa for the chips. Called and spoke to a woman, who insisted that she bagged our order herself and that everthing was in the one bag. She blamed the Grubhub driver--I double clarified with her that she bagged it all in one bag (she agreed that it was in one bag, not two), and told her it arrived tied. I do not believe the driver messed with the food. She kept insisting that it was all in the bag. My boss jumped in on the phone call and tried to talk to her--she kept talking over him and wouldn't let him even talk. He then asked if she really believed we were trying to scam them out of the food we were missing. (Logically, maybe $2-$3 worth of food--lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, guac, salsa--not high ticket items.) She said, "Yes!" Really? We just paid you for over $40 worth of food for our office--and order your food on a semi-regular basis--you really think we are trying to scam a couple dollars worth of cheap vegetables? We just wanted to get the rest of the food that was supposed to be with our lunch. Will not be buying from your place again. P.S. My fajita toppings and salsa were missing last time, too (about a week or two ago). I didn't bother calling that time. But, from today's experience, I'm glad I didn't bother. Clearly a waste of time.
