I'm writing this review as an American...keep that in mind…read more This seems to be sort of an American themed place. Lots of Budweiser signs, and lots of bar food. Beer selection is only so-so. Liquor/cocktails looked to be a bit more diverse but I just didn't feel like it. The Caesar salad was HUGE. Actually, all the portions were huge. And I'm saying that as an American. We had popcorn chicken and come croquettes as well. The popcorn chicken was only ok. It had a breading more akin to the frozen chicken nuggets we ate as kids. It wasn't very crunchy. Nor was it very flavorful. The hot sauce provide was tobasco..Menus were in English The service was abysmal. I'm not sure if it that we were a group of Americans or not though. It took quite a bit of action on our part to get the attention of the staff. However, the food was crazy cheap (3 of us ate and had beer for ~165 R$ or about $70) That's the redeeming factor. Maybe if I was a local it'd be fun to go and have a bite or a drink at something that we could have found in the US, but as an American in a foreign land, I kind of wonder why I even went.

Now when you come in, this is a very cute looking restaurant with the gorilla theme (GORILLA JACK), it is a spacious venue with tons of tables,bar space and games area. Looked very promessing. Keep an eye on the floor if you sit outside, they have some little pools on the floor that you can fall inside. They have a banana beer, it is regular beer but they put a banana escensse on it so the flavor of the beer changes very little if it changes. The beer was very good, u also saw the caipirinha with nutella and banana, I didn't have it but I hope you go there have one and let me know. The food was ok, we got a mix of bbq with ribs and piamontese rice, the rice was off on salt, the food was a bit blend, the cheddar sauce that comes with the food was cold and the waiter never mentioned that the ribs had sesame on it. If i had a serious or fatal allergy to it, that could be a problem. Aside from the food being a bit of a letdown what really made me realize that the staff is destroying the place is the fact that several times we had to standup and chase the waiter to order drinks, we had to tell the door person we wanted to eat, to get the check we had to turn on the cell phone lamp and waive it, the waiters will see you call and they will walk away. We asked for the check and he told us to go pay on the register. READ THIS: onr thing to pay attention to, they charge a cover jist like jekyl and hide if you sit inside and do the entertainment with the gorilla and games , if you sit outside you do not pay the cover. The waiters do not remove the cover charge (they are supposed to), so before paying the check make sure they didn't charge a cover if you were outside. I will stay away from this place in the future.

This place serves açai in the coconuts which is how I want to be served from now on haha. Their sandwiches are delicious and so are their food plates like Carne Assada Desfiada which is shredded tender marinated beef. The sides that I love best are Farofa from here (they add roasted garlic in the farofa) and Batata Frita which are homemade fried sliced thick potato chips. Other sides are salad and jiló which is caramelized squash. Their Pastéis as an appetizer is delicious which are Brazilian empanadas. The shrimp or shrimp and cheese are my favorite. I love that this location was walking distance from my stay. Beachfront. Also their restroom is kept very clean w/neon lights hahaha.

They didn't have all the bottled beers on the menu (standard) but were quick to offer others. The falafel was ABOVE PAR, french fries were good, tabouli was off the hook. Bathrooms are up the stairs (tiiiiiny staircase. This is not an accessible place.). Prices were on point. I recommend.
