Good, solid burritos. We got the breakfast burrito which had an amazing crisp to it and the surf and turf. Breakfast burrito - 8.5/10 Surf and turf burrito - 8/10 I thought it could've used a little more salt They generously give you bottles of red, green and habanero sauce on request to use as liberally as you'd like. Although I thought this was great, the sauces were pretty average and I think of it were a little spicier and flavorful it would've elevated the burritos and my experience for sure. I was excited to try this place for the first time the other day but was a little disappointed. I was craving rolled tacos so I got that and my friend got a shrimp and carne asada taco. The rolled tacos had a nice crunch but the guac on top was kinda flavorless. My friend's tacos were around $7 each but were huge, the toppings kept falling out. The salsas were just ok. Haven been here in a decade and o remembered it being so good... my daughter and I were disappointed. The carne asada was tough and flavorless, the quesadillas could have used some moisture. Rolled tacos looked good with a mountain of cheese but they were filled with ground beef, not shredded. It was odd. The guacamole was alright. Seasons would have helped all of it. I live in the area and come here just about every time I have a day off. I love the surf boards all of the restaurant. I think it may have been the owner's old or current boards. Could be wrong. But I love it. It's a happy place. Good vibe with a mix of tourtists and locals It a landmark must see and visit if you don't live here. The portion sizes of the burritos here are huge! Me and my partner shared 2 fish tacos and the surf & turf burrito and were so full after! The fish tacos were good, nothing super special just your standard fish tacos. The surf & turf burrito was full of meat, the meat to rice ratio was so good I would say it was 85-90% meat and the rest was rice so definitely felt like we got our moneys worth (sorry for no photo of the inside of the burrito). I also got the horchata which was just your standard horchata nothing special. I will say that the salsas here do leave something to be desired, they tasted pretty watered down the green salsa tasted like water with a slightttt hint of pepper then the red one tasted less watered down and had a Smokey flavor but was definitely disappointed by the watered down tasting salsas. Service was good, the place was packed since it was the weekend but we got our food fast since you just order at the counter then they call your number out to go get your order when it's ready. The interior is pretty cool! I liked all the surfboards hanging from the ceiling and along the wall, definitely casual beach vibes that suit this PB location. Eating fish tacos in SD just hits differently. i don't know if its the air/environment or freshness of the seafood, but biting into the fish taco was heavenly. the burrito was also delicious and packed a punch. It was a lot of food for two people. They also provide sauces, but be careful some of them are extremely spicy. Service: The person working in the front is extremely friendly. Interior: The inside seats about 20-25 people? But what's cool is that they dedicate the inside to the history of surfing. They have old surfboards on the ceiling and walls, and they also have old newspaper articles showing different people and spots of surfing. The best part about this spot, is that they have orange bang. honestly if a restaurant carries orange bang, that's automatically a win in my book. However, the woman at the front was awfully curt and made my day worse with her inhospitable attitude. Further, the prices were high, with my single burrito being almost $19. I am so sad to write this. I have recommended this place to so many people and come multiple times a month, but will never eat here again after today. I placed 2 orders in one day for the primal bowl, something I have ordered countless times. I have a pretty bad bean allergy and this bowl does not contain beans. The first order I got had beans, so I called them and informed them of the error, let them know what had happened and the woman answering said that she noticed the error when it was being packed and that if I placed another order, it would be correct. So I did that. I got the order and it was the same issue. When I called to tell them of the problem, the woman then went back and forth saying that the primal bowl has beans, before ending saying it does not and it was an error. I most likely wont ever come here again or recommend it. We will see how long I can hold out, but I hope they pay better attention in the future. read more

Instead, she snapped, "I'll give you another burrito if you give me the one you ate." When I explained that I had ordered as take out, already eaten it at the beach, she said something that honestly sounded like a suggestion to throw it up if I didn't like it. Yes--you read that right. It was sarcastic, condescending, and completely out of line. I wasn't asking for anything free. Just some basic respect as a loyal customer. A "sorry" would've been enough.
