Food was fresh and hot delivered quickly and made in front of you. The service is fast and considerate and the space is fun and spunky.

I like the tacos and combination plates. The cheese dip is very good. Variety of salsas and good fresh tortilla chips.

Bad. Just bad. Chicken was cold and lacked flavor and was dry. So far from Mexican food it's not even funny.

The best tacos and cheese dip in Hot Springs! Taco Pronto has been here for a long time for a good reason, good food at a reasonable price.

Wife and I went here for Taco Tuesday at the recommendation of several friends. I'm glad we did…read more Nice, roomy place, full bar available, plenty of seating too. They brought the obligatory chips and salsa to start . The salsa was good! The chips? Not so much. Wife ordered shrimp tacos (with rice and refried beans). I ordered ground beef tacos (with rice and refried rice beans. Wife really liked her tacos. Two huge tacos stuffed and good sized shrimp tails on them. She said she'd order them again. I was "so-so" on my beef tacos. They were huge but there was something about them that has me debating if I would order them again. I might go with the chimichanga next time. To be honest, I'm a Texan and it's been a chore finding anything to compare with Tex-Mex . This has been one of two that might come close. So I'd encourage anyone to try this place. I will stress CAUTION though. 1) If you use the side entrance from the parking lot. Be VERY CAREFUL!! There a 2 step downs at the door to enter the place. If it's sunny outside, you will have to adjust your vision quickly to the darker inside and trip over can easily happen. 2) the restrooms are in B a very narrow hallway and the doors are heavy and spring loaded. If you are like me, with a disability, it may be a challenge navigating all that so be prepared. Having someone assist you might be a good call. Have a great day!!!

Taco Mama - The Tamale Tip That Paid Off…read more We were midway through an early dinner at Cafe 1217 when a local picking up takeout struck up a conversation and started passionately recommending Taco Mama next door. Specifically, the tamales. You could tell this wasn't casual advice, this was a mission. So, naturally, we listened. On our way out of town toward Texas, we grabbed half a dozen to-go, planning to turn them into a road trip breakfast with friends. Risky? Maybe. Worth it? Absolutely. Big hit. The masa was just right, great texture, good flavor, holding everything together without stealing the show. The sauces were outstanding, especially the red one, which brought a solid kick without overwhelming things. By the next morning, we looked like heroes. If you're in Hot Springs and craving Mexican food, this is your stop. Friendly service, a colorful, lively setting, and a patio if you want a little fresh air with your meal. And if a local tells you what to order... trust them.

Finally!!! My husband and I moved from Texas to Arkansas about a year ago. We have been searching…read morefor a little taste of Tex-Mex since we moved. Tex-Mex adjacent would do. We found Colorado Grill and feel like we are in heaven. I had the lunch combo with soup and fajita taco. I had the Aztec soup which takes chicken soup to a whole other level. The chicken was cooked perfectly, still tender, grilled, combined with slightly crispy perfect fajita veggies - sweet peppers, onions, zucchini! My hubby had the lunch combo with a taco, cheese & onion enchilada, and tamale. He wasn't thrilled with the tamale, but the ground beef in the taco was seasoned just right, and the cheese and onion enchilada was wonderful. Oh, and the salsa? A red chunky salsa with a slow-hitting heat at just the perfect level (about medium). Our server was Zelta, and she was delightful. The atmosphere mimics the name - Colorado Grill, and the food definitely Tex-Mex style. We will definitely be back!!

We enjoyed the Parmesan Salad with grilled shrimp as well as steak fajitas and an enchilada. All portions were very generous and food was tasty. Salsa and chips pre-meal was also very welcome.

Definitely worth the visit. Salsa is made with roasted vegetables. Tacos are available on crispy,…read morehomemade soft corn and flour tortillas. The soft corn are some of the best we've ever had. The chipotle sauce was like a bbq sauce...very tasty. Carnitas had good flavor but could use a sauce, which they have options. The fried chicken tender on the southern taco lacked flavor. If you're a fan of fish tacos from Rubio's in California, these are meat identical flavor. The red snapper was fresh and flaky. And there's many more taco options. We had a training server but he was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and options. And then there's the margaritas. Had the hibiscus 'rita. Priced very well and better than other restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back.

I really try not to leave negative reviews, but considering this place has pretty good reviews, and…read moreproudly displays many "best tacos" awards, our experience was very disappointing. Everything started out ok - our waitress was sweet and attentive when we first sat down. However, once we ordered, we waited and waited for the food. After 45 minutes, we explained that we either needed our food or we'd like the bill for our chips so we could go to another place to eat. After that, the food appeared pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the food was truly bad - no salt, and very, very bland. I especially have to mention the beef...we ordered a carne asada taco and a fajita taco (the fajita taco description mentioned having "ribeye") and the meat in both was awful. It could be squeezed into mush between my fingers. Again, the staff was friendly enough, and I think they tried their best to make up for the long wait, which we appreciate, but to wait that long and the food be SO subpar just really made for a bad meal. I would try and find another place to eat when you visit Hot Springs.
