Sonora steak burrito 149 pesos (~$8) -- extra extra salty! Comes with sliced rib eye, caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms, and cheese. I wasn't a fan of this, especially when my "burrito" looked and tasted more like a panini. 2. Baja Shrimp Burrito 149 pesos (~$8) -- better than the steak burrito. Comes with refried beans, caramelized onions, tomato, spinach, cheese, and chipotle dressing. Still panini-like and smaller than usual burritos. The prices are a bit high for Monterrey, probably because it's located in a plaza surrounded by American hotel chains for international business travelers. Still, comparably cheap to what you'd pay in the US or abroad. Not sure if this is always the case, but when we went, none of the staff spoke English, and I didn't see any English menus either. Not a problem for most US travelers such as myself, but just a precaution for anyone with zero experience with Spanish. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area!

The seasoning was well balanced. I could have used more onion but that's just me. The Quesada Mexicana was quite good, rich with flavor and very cheesy. It appears to be a chain and while there were a number of travelers when I arrived it soon was locals only which I took as a good sign. The reason for 2 stars? Despite being the ONLY table in the restaurant at one point, and never being more than 1 table per server, I had to wait a ridiculous amount of time and then had to rush to catch my shuttle. The funny thing was my server was not too bad, but the bartender seemed to intentionally avoid making my drink. He would stand there doing nothing and when she asked for the drink he suddenly had to put glassware away. It was like he was mad at her. I'd recommend it for a casual lunch or if you're staying across the street and don't care when you get served, otherwise there are several other restaurants in that strip mall that frankly looked and smelled more interesting. Give it a pass until they straighten out their service.

The habanero one is great but it's crazy hot... you only need a couple drops. The rest aren't too spicy. Server was very quick and friendly. Love this place!
