This is still a good fast food stop if you don't have time to stop and sit at a regular restaurant.

Elena's Taqueria - Quesabirria tacos -- my ultimate favorite

Saw this place listed on Google maps while my husband and I were here to visit my Dad. I'm in love…read morewith Birria tacos and have been since I first saw someone eating one on The Food Network and then I ate my first one...they are the best things I've ever tasted in my life! We ordered TONS of food here and not only ate two meals worth for $40, but there's leftovers from that second meal AND I had my step mom try one of the birria tacos too, dipped in the consommé and she loves it too! We got 6 Birria tacos with 2 containers of consommé (darned if I forgot to take pictures until it was too late!!) and they even check to make sure what filling you want (pork or beef), what toppings (cilantro and onions) and a huge assortment of sauces! They're literally amazing! We also ordered an enchilada plate with 2 Chicken enchiladas, rice, beans and although they may have been out of the red sauce, they did have a nacho cheese sauce and it was just as good as any sauce she could've put on or in them, in my opinion. My husband LOVED them! Then we got 4 tamales that they make themselves fresh and they were very good. They're freshly steamed, moist and filled with lots of whatever you choose. They had ground beef, pork and chicken. We got the pork and they were fabulous. Maybe a touch too much masa on the outside or what becomes the ends from inside the corn husk, but they were still very very good. We would've gotten more food, but we were on a time crunch and had to grab and go. There's like 2 or 3 other Mexican restaurants in town, but this was the only place we wanted to visit and from the food we enjoyed with family and how much we walked away with for such reasonable prices, I'm glad we chose wisely. If you're looking for freshness, (they had all our food well packed up, sauces, tableware, napkins and condiments in asst. boxes, containers, etc. in neatly stacked/packed in bags in less than 10 minutes!) quick and fabulous service...look no further than this fantastic lil place! You WON'T be sorry -- you'll be full and very satisfied!

Forest City was fast approaching, so we pulled up Google and discovered Iguanas Mexican restaurant. I guess that it was appropriate that we chose Mexican food for our dinner fare. After seeing the corona of the sun, it's only fitting that a Corona beer be ordered. But I didn't. I ordered a Dos XX instead. Corona is Mexican Budwieser. We were seated immediately and presented with menus displaying food choices printed top to bottom. And I mean top to bottom! Bring your glasses for there's so many selections from which to choose crammed onto that laminated card stock. My eye managed to ferret out a promising entree. The Burrito Grande. Steak, onions, peppers, beans, cheese, served with guacamole and sour cream on the side. Rice also came with it. When it arrived at our table, I was a little underwhelmed as to its size. Grande, it was not. Maybe it was Grande to the person who served it to me, for he was small in stature. But to a tall, strapping young senior citizen, it fell short of being grandiose in size. However, in taste, it was. So I'll give them a pass on the description. It was deliciously tasty. The grandkids had tacos and scrumptious looking enchiladas. Those left mere rings on the plates after they were done. I think that they enjoyed theirs as much as I did mine. Don't be dissuaded by its location. Iguanas is in a very nondescript strip mall. It's more deserving of a building of its own. But who am I to guess. I have no idea what rental rates are in the hamlet of Forrest City. For all I know, it may be prime real estate for the region. Go there and enjoy. They even have a small store inside where one can find an array of all things south of the border. Quick Tip: When searching for the restaurant across the vastness of the strip mall parking lot, look low for their sign. At the time of this reviews writing the sign over the restaurant looked like it was lost in a windstorm. No worry, though. The food will blow you away.

Glad we did as the business had family engaged in their business and it showed in our food quality. Great job Iguanas, we will certainly stop there each visit on our travels to this location! I pulled up and went to order and I was greeted by a lady with red hair and covered in tattoos she smiled at me and asked me how I was and If I would like to place and order. I told her it had been a while since I had been there and asked her what she recommended and she promptly said ohhh definitely a chicken and steak quesadilla or some birria nachos. I said oh I didn't seen the birria nachos on the menu so it must be new so I told her I'll take one of each. She said it would be about 15 mins and I was welcome to have a seat and wait I made sure to see if she was going to put gloves on and yes!! She did. About 5 mins later some guy came in yelling at her that she needed to hurry and make 2 orders he had just got she told him she was working on my order she would get to it as soon as she was done he looked at me and said (what did you get man) and I had grabbed a soda from the cooler and he said you already pay for your order man if not I need you to pay now and for you drink. She said yes he had already paid for everything already she finished my order and gave me an extra salsa I tipped her 5 dollars before I left and he stuck it in his pocket I said oh that was a tip for the cook and he said yeah ok ty have a good day. The food was impeccable I dont know what she does to it but I was so full I couldn't eat another bite I will definitely go back if she is cooking but he needs to learn manners
