Taco Bell located in Shepherdsville right off the expressway entrance right in the heart of town. This portion of Shepherdsville has really built up the last few years. But before all these new places popped up this Taco Bell existed. I've probably dropped in here 25-30 times over the years. Usually I end up doing the drive thru. But I have been inside and it is recently renovated I'd say in the last 5 years. Pretty standard Taco Bell. Fast food Mexican that's a National brand. By now most people know if they hate of love Taco Bell food. I'm a personal fan of the food. My go to meals are the chicken quesadilla meal with a soft taco with meat and cheese only. I use to grab a Mexican pizza from time to time but unfortunately they have been removed from the menus. This location is hit and miss on service usually. The line either moves fast or moves like a snail. It's weird that there never seems to be an in between. It's either shockingly fast or mind numbingly slow. I ordered some food for my wife who loved this location until the last few visits. A few weeks ago I had to make 3 trips to get a simple burrito supreme no beans add rice, 3 trips on my dime. Tonight she took one bite spit it out due to it burning her mouth, said it tasted like chemicals. Called got someone claiming to be the manager, she said there are no chemicals on the line just sanitizer. Is sanitizer not a chemical? When I pointed that out she said no it was just sanitizer. The people I deal with here are the nicest people in the food service business. Worst experience ever with the rudest workers. So we stopped on the way home and order 6 tacos and a burrito. We were the only ones there (should have been a clue) since Taco Bell is never not busy. Any we asked for extra hit sauce they gave us 5 packs not even enough for all the food first off and we ask for extra. They said oh there's more then 5 I. There and didn't give us anymore also one taco not even wrapped all the stuff laying in the bag and shells broke. The person waiting on us was like in the most disgusted voice that we were complaining said "do you want us to re make them ". I mean if we are the only people there shouldn't your service be 100% ( it should be anytime). Also no receipt given. We left and all the tacos were soggy and shells broken just a nasty mess which went in the garbage. I mean there are alot if restaurants in Shepherdsville so when you are nasty and give crappy service no one will want to eat there and we have lots of other choices to pick from. Would have given zero stars if possible but they did remake part of my order in a flash, earning them a measly solo star. We were in a hurry and a bit malnourished. Enter Taco Bell. No better place on earth to get a weeks worth of calories in just a few small items. Upon entering the store at roughly 7pm, you're greeted with the smell of grease and ass, both in equal parts. Place our order, only 2 other patrons in the store, proceed to find a seat. The place was filthy, from the floor to the tables. I deloused our chairs and tables while we awaited our food. Roughly 15 minutes later, our order was ready! No surprise as a whopping 3 employees were on duty. The food was mediocre at best, but the cheese quesadilla my kids shared had to be remade as it contained only an imaginary heap of cheese and the grease stains left behind from where 3 shreds of cheddar had once been, all between a burnt tortilla. Fortunately for us, they remade a new cheese quesadilla that would be respectable of YUM brands quality requirements. The meal washed down well with a giant cup of my favorite sugary beverage on tap! I didn't happen to notice the health department rating before entering but had they chose to visit today, the store would have scored poorly. This parking lot bites the biggie. It's hard to get out at the light a lot of times and the food has consistently been weak and subpar. I've given this taco bell so many chances, first it was always incorrect or missing items and now its starting to be the quality. I ordered soft tacos with no lettuce got only meat and ON TOP of that, the beans were so crusty dusty in my bellgrande, I was able to just pick the beans up and remove them (when i even asked to remove the beans and tomato in the first place which they did not). the food is good when they get it right. the service is only good from the younger kids if not your getting yelled at by full grown adults if you think your order is wrong they will rip apart the bags and burritos and convince you that they were right. i love their food and it's consistent and convenient but every time i am there something is wrong and they are assholes about it. plus it's getting way too expensive for what it is. one burrito being $9 or a quesadilla being as much as a 6oz steak is crazy. read more

This restaurant is very slow. I ordered online using their app. I get to the restaurant eat my food inside the restaurant. The restaurant is closed and only open for drive through. There is at least a 30 minute line that doesn't move in the 10 minutes I am there trying to get someone to make my food or give me a refund. Wow, no surprise to see every review as a one star. Hell, they don't even deserve that. I've had multiple inconveniences with this Taco Bell and after today, I am fed up. I get 30 minutes for my lunch break. I am within 2 minutes driving distance from work to this location. I get there at 5:02. They tell me the drive through is experiencing difficulties so I will have to order inside. Whatever, that's fine. I go inside and order. Unfortunately I didn't notice until after I ordered that there were only 3 employees in the entire restaurant. The line eventually piles up and they seem to be taking their sweet time making the orders. Even the cashier is back laughing, chatting away and having a good time with the others. Now it is 5:31. I'm already late back to work, I'm starving and just want my food. When they finally call out my name, the employee says "We're all out of Doritos Locos Tacos." Oh no...Oh HELL no. I walk up there and ask them if they are (insert bad word here) serious and why I was told this 30 MINUTES AFTER PLACING THE ORDER. No exaggerations, this is the slowest "fast food" restaurant I've ever been to. I'm feeling very generous with the 2 star. Only reason for 2 is that they got my food right and gave me enough sauce for the next 5 times I want Taco Bell. I stop at this location from time to time and there hasn't been one time I haven't spent less than 15 minutes in the drive thru.
