Service by the employees here is normally great here. I'm not a fan of the robot taking my order, but I get it. The food is usually modified as requested, and for the most part warm, besides the occasional bean burrito will be colder like it may have been sitting for a while. Then switched people on mic middle of my order, I asked the guy that switched on the mic what the other guys problem and who that was speaking to me at first, he replied it was his manager I asked him to get the manager and he had a rude encounter with me. My family all think the people that work here hate the owner and want to see this location fail. Every time-the food is always wrong. Two hardshell taco supremes in our order- neither had sour cream. Fine- but one only had cheese and meat. The other had ton of cheese, a little scoop of meat, *one* tiny slice of lettuce, and one tiny piece of tomato. . We also got about 10 pounds of sauce packets. We asked for the quesadillas to have no sauce. One was totally covered the other only had it on one side. I get Taco Bell maybe one or twice a month. I live out of state though, so this was my first (and last) visit to this one on Garfield Rd. My expectations for Taco Bell are never like, high or anything. Come to find out the door is locked to get in because of short staff. Haven't run to the border for awhile. Decided to get something quick. Had the three layer nachos, the Fritos burrito and a Doritos supreme taco. It was hot and prepared correctly so that's all you could ask for my wife had the nachos and cheese , double decker supreme and the shredded chicken burrito. She had to take the burrito back because they made the wrong one, which they replaced with no problem. One thing it was freezing cold in there. I asked if they would put some heat on they did with no problem except it kept ft letting warm than cold again. read more

This was just as I expect for fast food. I ordered a shredded chicken burrito and it seems they made it wrong. I brought it back and it still didn't look or taste the same as I normally get from other Taco Bell's. This one I wasn't sure if the person was even familiar with it and making it up as she went cause she even asked me the type of sauce that went on it. Their heat we can't tell if it's broken or they keep Switching air on. It starts warm but then starts blowing cool air. They may be remodeled for a new look but to me they just aren't all that. I am reviewing based on my experiences late night at the drive thru. The low rating is not for the staff but rather being out of key things on the menu the past THREE times in a row I visited. Trip One- I went for crunchy tacos. Was told they were out of ground beef. Ordered chicken instead- was told they were also out of chicken. I understand restaurants running out of things periodically but ground beef is the key ingredient on the menu. This would be unacceptable just once but there's more... Trip Two- Out of nacho fries. That's seriously the best thing on the menu, so I was bummed. Also out of chicken again. Trip Three- Out of ground beef and nacho fries AGAIN. I'm sorry, but three strikes and you're out. This is entirely directed at the management. Whoever does the ordering is not doing their job correctly. When I have to drive three times in a row to another location you've inconvenienced me and wasted my time. GO TO M-59/Schoenherr OR the new location on M-59 betw. Hayes and Garfield.... Why? Because as another reviewer pointed out this location NEVER has essential items (or claims not to) when you order, So LAST weekend we pulled up around 11pm and were told at the drive-thru their 'fryer wasn't working and credit card machine was down' so I had to drive to another location. Then TONITE, ordered 10 items on menu, but they were 'out of black beans' and then told me incorrectly 'caramel apple empanadas have been discontinued' ummmmm NO they haven't. So only left with 6 of the 10 items I planned to buy. The daytime staff here isn't much better and I say that as someone who went there SO many times during daytime they should've--if they cared at all--known me by name. Also, they've tried to consistently give me GRAY baja blast freezes and when questioned, they say that's how it's been coming out? Great service! My family chooses this location over the Groesbeck one because it consistently gives us better service. So when we had a problem with our order, which rarely happens ( potatoes tasted like they had not been cooked long enough compared to usual) they gladly went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied (shoutout to Brett, thanks!). The eating area was very clean as well. Two different visits, both times my orders were incorrect (and they're not difficult orders). I ordered a Nacho Bel Grande, but wanted to substitute black beans for the beef. The first time, I didn't even receive the nachos. The workers did provide me with my full order no problem when I came back. The second time (same order - nachos with black beans subbed for beef), they put on black beans but also took off refried beans along with the beef. I am a regular at this Taco Bell, and I just feel that they could use more polite workers. When receiving my food, I said thank you and before I drove off, I waited for the worker to tell me to have a good night and they didn't so I drove off unhappily. Another suggestion, when cutting the quesadillas, cut the pieces more evenly and do not get the jalapeno sauce over the opening.
