We booked dinner here based on mostly good reviews we read, however, our experience was very disappointing. We were greeted nicely enough and, seemingly on the house, appetizers of olives, cheese, bread and sardines were brought to the table without request. Thinking it to be a nice gesture, we enjoyed the above only to find a charge of 14 euros on our bill at the end of the meal. Additionally, we ordered the seafood Catalana which was recommended by our server and was beautifully presented but upon closer inspection included mostly very bony fish and one split langoustine shell, half of which had been emptied beforehand. We searched the broth but the missing half was never to be found. There were two mussels and a few tiny clams sprinkled throughout but the 50 euros dish contained mostly undercooked potatoes and onions in a tasteless tomato broth. We ordered more bread, not to sop up the sauce but to fill our empty stomachs. Would highly recommend dining elsewhere in Nazaré- this place may have once been good but now seems to exist to fleece unsuspecting tourists. read more
