We had been to the emergency room and told to follow up with a neurologist. The person who picked up the phone would not stop talking over me. To the point of wondering if I was in some sort of AI simulation. Over and over again telling me a referral had to be in her computer to a. Answer my questions, b. Make an appointment (we have a ppo that does not require referrals) and wouldn't tell me where to get one. The ER writing follow up with a neurologist seemed like that would be referring us to neurology. Talked to the ER today and they said they could get me a copy of the records to take to them but had no idea how to get a referral into their computer. The insurance company gave me the same thing VA had: a list of practices. The practice calls them to verify coverage not the other way around. Did she mean authorization? I'll never know. She would not stop talking over me to ask. I can't let anyone I know who needs neurology go into that den of madness. And my misunderstanding of the process I can accept. Not having the skills at the receptionist desk for a call to walk someone through the process in a doctor's office is really not acceptable. They are the interface with the doctors & system. Unfortunately the only other practices in town were 3-4 months out. We have to drive to Tallahassee to be seen. Infuriating.

Listens to the problems and tries to come up with a plan to tackle those issues and get you feeling better. I had a broken tailbone several years ago and all the other doctors i saw refused to X-Ray my tailbone, they kept treating me for sciatic, which it wasn't. I was in agony for five years before I met Dr Joseph whom really listened and did the X-Ray needed to show i had in fact broken it. He came up with a plan and had me driving again without excruciating pain. The shots work sometimes and sometimes they dont. But, I will take the 50 50 shot at feeling better. The fact that he listens, and tries to make you get better and back to a better quality of life, is all the reasons you need to see this doctor if you are suffering. Be patient. They do get busy sometimes. The quality of care they give, waiting a bit really should be no big deal.

With no help from this office knowing the the urgency I am so disappointed. I believe that this office is just gotten too big and have too many patients. So sad to say but I've got to find better medical care. Gulfcoast hospital and orthopedic surgeon have been trying to help, with scheduling.

I am not one to write reviews but I feel like my experience warrants this. I was referred to Dr…read more Caspary by an urgent care center in Panama City for a potential abscess behind my ear. After arriving at the office and being told they had no record of the appointment, I pleaded with the receptionist to allow me to see a doctor due to the size and area of the abscess. They were able to get me in. Dr. Caspary said he thought it may be Masitioditis (which can be life-threatening) and that I would need to come back the following day for a CT Scan that would be done in office. I am currently traveling and the office was outside my insurance network so I had been paying upfront. The office said they would call me the next day and let me know the price of the CT Scan. They gave me the price of the CT Scan and scheduled the appointment. Since they mentioned it would be done in office, I had assumed they would also read it in office. When they did not read the CT and sent me home (the abscess has not gone down, there were no additional antibiotics given) I went back in and pleaded again to the receptionist that I would like to see the doctor, that I did not know what to do, and was afraid. At this point, it was suggested I consider going to the ER or make arrangements to go to the ER. Dr. Caspary did not come in the room and instead sent his medical assistant. I ran home to grab a bag for the ER, I lose hearing in my ear and it begins draining. I rush to the ER. I call Dr. Caspary's office at 4:45 to request that the CT Scan be sent to the ER knowing they will need them. The answering service says they cannot connect me to the office. I hang up. Once I arrived at the ER, they immediately took me back, started new rounds of antibiotics, run additional CT Scans, flushed the ear and made me feel safe. Dr. Caspary's office did not follow up with me until days later (after I had already called their office to schedule the follow up). During follow up with Dr. Caspary's office, I let him personally know that I felt the care I was given was less than acceptable. His response was to the effect of, "yeah, I don't know." At this point, all I want to do is make sure I am okay and leave the office. I will say Dr. Caspary did seem more concerned after this and gave me great care from this point on. After my last appointment, I spoke with the office manager who apologized for my experience. I felt that since I was self-pay and had to have the imaging redone - that I should have my money refunded for the CT scan that was done in office. She said she would get back to me and did not. This was at the end of May. I am fine now and continued about my life and had decided to just move on. Then I received a bill from a radiologist for $1200. The office never informed me that they would be sending the radiology report out - just that it would be done in office. The also never disclosed I would be charged separately for this. When I called to find out why, I was told this is normal and that there was nothing they could do. The care I was given at Dr. Caspary's office of Head & Neck Associates of Bay County was neglectful, unfair, and unacceptable. I sincerely hope no one else ever has to go through this type of experience.

He did a discectomy and fusion of my cervical spine on 3 levels. He and his staff are amazing. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an orthopedic surgeon of the highest caliber. Dr. McLoughlin is the one to see! His staff are second to none!!!!
