Absolutely horrible customer service. My wife is coming to this clinic off a referral at a younger…read moreage and was super anxious about the visit to begin with. Instead of having prescriptions filled at the appropriate time following her initial consult, they said they sent it to the pharmacy, but nothing was ever received by the pharmacist. When asked again to send the prescriptions, they sent 1 of 2 to the pharmacist. It took them until less than a week before the procedure to send only 1 of the 2 necessary prep medications to the pharmacist and, as of the time writing this, we're still having issues getting the other medication less than a day ahead of the procedure. Highly, highly recommend a different clinic if possible.

I went to Evan Ellenburg years ago at Florida Wellness Group and he was fantastic, until one day he…read morestarted forgetting things, like refills he said he would call in. He also became rude with me on the phone. He called told me a Rx was not called in (even though I had called 3 times to remind him and I had been in the office and paid a copay and told my Rx would be at the Pharmacy). Evan's explanation was it was due to his credentials had been "temporarily revoked "in their new computer system to call in prescriptions, then he called and yelled at me stating I was rude to his staff. (I was never rude). I was really disappointed. Is demeanor changed and he was not the same Evan I knew as my family practitioner. When he called he yelled (very unprofessional said do not call his staff anymore). I had called 3 times in 3 days to leave a message for Evan asking about my refill. As a patient, and someone that had paid for his services, I had every right to call. I was not rude, I was simply waiting for a Rx that he told me he had already called in. Later, I see him in the newspaper with some quite negative publicity, then suddenly (after a year) I am getting all these bills for a Co pay as if I was in his office when I was not. The copay is for a Phone call where he returned my call. I plan to turn this into my insurance as fraud and speak to them about it. Evan has since passed away and now suddenly they want to bill me for a service that was NOT provided. This is exactly why I followed Melinda to another practice when she left Fla Wellness. I don't have these issues with her. If you bill a patient a year after sending no bills, it needs to be a VALID BLIL for services provided, not for a return phone call. I would not recommend Fla Wellness after my experience.

My husband was refused service at this urgent care while his leg was profusely bleeding, with blood…read morerunning down his leg and staining his clothes. Despite being in such serious condition and in obvious need of medical attention, the woman at the front desk refused to help him. I am appalled, shocked, and outraged that a healthcare facility would ever turn away someone in this condition. My husband was forced to drive over 20 minutes, while bleeding on himself and inside his vehicle, to receive the medical care he so desperately needed. At the next closest facility, he required multiple stitches. The lack of compassion and urgency demonstrated by Emerald Coast Urgent Care is absolutely unacceptable and a shame to our community. I expect this incident to be addressed, thoroughly investigated, and taken seriously.

We had been to the emergency room and told to follow up with a neurologist. The person who picked up the phone would not stop talking over me. Make an appointment (we have a ppo that does not require referrals) and wouldn't tell me where to get one. The ER writing follow up with a neurologist seemed like that would be referring us to neurology. Talked to the ER today and they said they could get me a copy of the records to take to them but had no idea how to get a referral into their computer. The insurance company gave me the same thing VA had: a list of practices. The practice calls them to verify coverage not the other way around. Did she mean authorization? I'll never know. She would not stop talking over me to ask. I can't let anyone I know who needs neurology go into that den of madness. And my misunderstanding of the process I can accept. Not having the skills at the receptionist desk for a call to walk someone through the process in a doctor's office is really not acceptable. They are the interface with the doctors & system. Unfortunately the only other practices in town were 3-4 months out. We have to drive to Tallahassee to be seen. Infuriating.
