This room had it all, from granite counter tops, full size fridge, fireplace, coffee maker, stove, and dishwasher! The kitchenette is super convenient. The bed was comfortable as well. The room also has two cable televisions and Wi-Fi. The private lake with pier is a beautiful view to take in. The room provided us with a list of restaurants, beaches, and other amenities that are only a 3 minute drive away. Some critiques about the room are the rack in the dishwasher seemed to be broken. The fireplace's flames are based off the thermostat in the room, so we would have had to turn up the heat to see bigger flames. I would have liked to keep the room's normal temp and just have the fireplace on. Additionally, the bottom part of the shower has a piece missing, which made me worry about all the shower water going into it. I know each room is a little different and have their own quirks. I would definitely stay here again, maybe in one of the bigger lakeside cabins, or in the same room!

The views are beautiful and the whole experience was terrific which is why I'm giving them full 5 stars. We've already recommended them to a few friends that have booked private cabins. There is a private beach for lake activities and only 15min from Northstar ski resort. Safeway grocery store is less than 1/4mile away and lots of restaurants close by. Unfortunately there is only one parking space per unit and any additional cars must be parked off the property. There is trash and towel service twice a week. Laundry facilities are free but there are only 2 washers and 2 dryers for the entire property. Detergent is $2 and can be purchased at the front desk. Because of a snow storm we could not make it on the first day and arrived late on the second day. The staff at the front desk (Erin, Kelly, Kailee) were all accommodating with the late check-in process and texted instructions on how to retrieve our card keys since the office close at 6pm.

We left most windows open 24/7 & were still warm - even with snow outside. To complicate that - leaf blowers...run all day long. Do they carry around extra batteries? No joke - from 8am to after 5pm, it doesn't stop. When you have to leave windows open to not boil in the room - the noise from the leaf blowers = nousicance. The pillows are crazy full. Make your neck hurt firm. I ended up filling my own pillowcase with a small blanket I brought. If you trade through II, for a sleeps 2 privately/with a kitchen - that's exactly what you get. A room with a kitchen in it. It's pretty intimate to co-habitate for a week together. We did ok but it would be awkward if your not super close/familiar with each other. $25 a day "resort fee", no matter what the season & no matter what type of room you have. No kayakes, no pool - doesn't matter = $25 a day. We won't be back, unfortunately. Might be better in a larger unit during a different time of year.

However our room keys didn't work so I walked back and the front desk was so nice they gave me a bottle of champagne and two clean glasses. It's nice they give you a welcome drink not only champagne but local beer!! I really love the atmosphere here it's so charming and the people are so helpful!!! We went here in early October and found out that their private beach was under construction. They gave out pass for other private beaches nearby (Incline Beach - 5 mins walking and Burnt Cedar Beach - 35 mins walking). The valet can drive you to the beach if you give them a heads up. There is $30 self parking fee. We love that the whole swimming pool area's floor is heated. The water in the pool was also heated so it was super nice for fall weather. There are 2 jacuzzis (adult only & family) and even kiddy pool at the further end. They also have swimsuit dryer at the indoor part of the pool - across the gym which was super neat. My husband & kiddo checked in with Tristan and was warmly greeted. He & my kiddo could talk for hours about video games. We also got complimentary Smore's kit that we made in the evening at the fire pit near the swimming pool. There are several free activities during the day. We were interested in archery but when we tried to register, the session was full. The concierge suggested us to come the next morning since people usually cancel. Luckily, when we went in the next morning, we got 3 spots for us. McKenzee was our instructor for archery class. He was very patient teaching us how to hold & use the bow & arrow. Too bad that the weather was too cold & rainy, otherwise we could stay for archery for hours.

Lady on the phone was kind and helpful, not her fault at all! But it took about 45 mins from arrival to actually entering the room with waiting/on hold/check-in. By the time we figured out where to go there was another person standing outside the door near where we parked going through the same situation. I don't have a problem with self check-in although I don't prefer it, but you should probably make sure it works before permanently implementing it. Only other things were the shower head was incredibly low and the tv kind of sucked. For the shower: I'm 5'10, which I know isn't short, but it was at neck height. My bf is 6'4 and it was an even worse struggle lol. The tv guide didn't work, we had to change the channels to see what was on and the internet must have been spotty because it would lag every minute or so. Other than that the place itself was okay, i'm usually not one to be picky so it all would have been great for the price without the check-in part (please check my other reviews, leaving a 3 star is a big deal to me as I try to be positive on here!). The bartender working today was put off by my questions in things 8 was interested in so, we left his area However, the rest of the staff were friendly.
