They allow outsiders to walk their "residents only" path constantly. They're always doing parking lot repairs and painting the outside of buildings just so they can raise rent. Residents are forced to comply with inconvenient demands like not parking near their own buildings. They'll tow your car with barely a day's notice during their projects -- and then make you pay the tow fee, too. Maintenance is unprofessional and unresponsive. A staff member once entered my apartment unannounced and caused harm to my dog by kicking and I have video of it. When my neighbor's car got stolen, management didn't notify residents of the incident. They don't communicate about crimes or safety concerns at all. The manager is rarely in the office, so nothing ever gets resolved. The apartments are literal garbage. Lights across the entire complex don't work and they never repair them, even after repeated requests. If you want to decorate your balcony or patio, live somewhere else -- they'll fine you just for having anything out there.

My entire time living at this…read moreapartment complex, I dealt with rude, fake management who unjustly sought out to make the living situation of certain residents miserable! Specifically the manager, kevin, and assistant manager, tiara, are horrible! Numerous staff have quit because of the shoddy management, as well as residents, and more are planning to leave. I know this first hand. Tiara is rude, lazy, and arrogant. She doesn't go the extra mile for anyone! She does the bare minimum and has an extremely fake demeanor. She gets irritated when dealing with the tenants. When my fob failed to work, tiara claimed she'd fix it, but never did. Fortunately, one of the maintenance workers offered to get it activated since I had tried several times to no avail. I also had to contact her several times regarding some paperwork. She never reached out to me. I had to keep going to the office to finally get it taken care of. Kevin is weak. He doesn't want to discuss anything in person and will actually hide from you if you try. He personally targeted me and my neighbors and I couldn't even tell you why, as they are some of the nicest people who live on the property! He is constantly watching camera footage to go after the residents about one thing or another. He is NOT management material! The walls are super thin and I could hear just about everything my neighbors were doing- alarms going off, stomping around, conversations, music, the tv, etc. The management strives to put in as little money as possible for repairs, if they do repairs at all! Therefore, you keep dealing with the same problems which will only be solved by moving out! I asked to have overgrown landscaping trimmed back. The second time I asked, I received a very snotty remark from Kevin, And the work was never done. The buildings have leaks all over, so don't be surprised if your unit has water coming in during the many storms the area receives! They also claim they'll dna test dog excrement that isn't picked up, but they never actually do because they don't want to pay for the testing to be done. I could provide numerous additional examples, but this review is already very lengthy. It may be an ideal location to some, but I would NOT recommending living at this location! Do yourself a favor and find another location to reside!

I had occasion to check the Yelp reviews for St. Andrews Apartments - just curious - and I was…read moreappalled at what I found. So I have to speak up: I have lived at St. Andrews for fourteen (14) years and that fact alone should say something. NO ONE would live in a place for fourteen years if they weren't happy. And I'm happy. During that time, the rents have climbed, but they are still in the range of other apartment complexes in the area. (and you can't throw a rock without hitting other complexes - We're surrounded by them!) Over the years, I've had lots of occasions to interact with the staff. Personnel have changed many times, but they have always been personable, friendly and, above all, helpful. And believe me, I can be as cranky and grumpy and hard to please as any other old man. ("Stay off my lawn" - you know what I mean.) I've had a few issues that required the help of the Maintenance guys - usually small things (weather stripping peeling off the bottom of a door, florescent bulbs needing replaced) and they've always been taken care of promptly. I had one major issue (in 14 years!) and that was a terrible bathroom plumbing problem (gag) that, again, was taken care of right away. Over the years, I've had several neighbors in the apartment above me, and maybe I'm just lucky, but I've never had a problem. I hear them sometimes, but the noise level is typical for apartment living and better than most. It's important to say that I do not work for the company that owns this complex and I receive no special treatment. If my rent was ever late, I'm sure I'd be penalized. If I had someone move in with me, I'm sure I'd be charged. Still, I'm happy. If you are reading this, please note that most of the reviews here are YEARS old. And some are really petty. (Of course the staff comes into your apartment. Would you prefer to change your own furnace filters rather than having it done for you? Would you rather chase bugs around or have pest control provided? Tennessee = bugs) And the staff ALWAYS warn you days in advance when they'll be coming in. Living at here is a pleasant experience and if you are looking for a nice place to live, consider St. Andrews. Smoky

The stairs and entry ways need redoing and trash pickup is inconsistent but I loved living here. On to my move out experience: I had to break my lease due to my job ending. At first I was going to take the option where you pay three months and be clear because there was 18 units on the market but before turning in the almost $5000, I checked the site and my apartment E302 was no longer listed. I went in to inquire and there was an application out on my apartment. This was good news for me so I'm changed to paying $150 to break lease and pay for vacant days. The manager (Tiffany) was annoyed and went on to tell me over and over why I needed to pay the 3 months and be done because the application may fall through or the applicant may back out. She was very adamant about I'm making a mistake. I let her know I understood but I'll take a chance. Thankfully, someone moved in on August 16th. I knew I would have to pay the $150 plus half of month rent but they also charged me $80 late fee for August plus the new tenants rent is $10 cheaper than what I was paying so they told me I have to cover the $10 difference since my rent was more. That was another $60 charged for the months of September to February when my original lease was up. Aurora was pleasant the whole time but the manager's demeanor changed right away. Posting this so folk are aware of the good and bad.

They removed my review from Google so I'll put it here too…read moreManagement is frequently out of office during business hours I had to wait 2 hours one morning for anybody to show up. There's one dumpster for the entire complex so when it breaks down, which it does a lot, you can either pile trash up for maintenance to pick up or you can hold rotting trash in your apartment. Outdated fixtures in the apartment thermostat, washer/dryer, 18+ year old dishwasher. The gutters have been clogged for over 3 years it was a problem before we came when we asked (and others did as well) for the gutters to be cleaned they claimed we would have to wait until summer. This is not the fault of the maintenance team which is really the only saving grace for this complex, there's two guys who were really carrying that team. They couldn't seem to keep a maintenance manager though. Our apartment kept taking on water at the windowsill and front door due to the clogged gutters.

I just moved out after living here for three years. I rented it initially without even having seen…read moreit, based on a recommendation from a colleague. I had their largest 2-bedroom floor plan with a garage and loved the set-up. When I moved out, my entire security deposit was refunded. Would I recommend it? Yes, absolutely. For me it filled my need which mostly came down to amenities (apartment and complex) and safety. I have listed some pros and cons below. The positives: it is a very safe, not too many college students (although there have been some very loud parties; many families with kids and older people live here), maintenance is quick to fix issues (although I had a tricky water leak that required somewhere around 7 requests to finally get resolved), and the office staff is helpful and friendly (Doreen in particular has been very helpful). The grounds are also generally well kept and it has good amenities. Close to the grocery store too. The negatives: it comes down to thin walls and dogs. I shared my bedroom wall with a neighbor. I could hear them having sex (so awkward...), snoring, morning alarm, conversations etc. You also tend to hear a lot of people's bathroom habits, especially if you are in your bathroom (through the vent I assume). This complex allows dogs - and I love animals - but when most of your neighbors have dogs, and one starts barking, they all start. At one time my next door neighbor would go to work by 5 am, followed by a very, very lengthy chorus of barking and howling by his dogs. Thankfully the management stepped in and helped me put a stop to that. But, during the pandemic, Zoom meetings were sometimes a challenge because of the barking. It wasn't constant barking; when it starts though, it takes a while to settle down. I also had at least one neighbor who believed the grassy area by the apartment was their dogs' personal toilet area; they never picked up poop. Dog poop was frequently found in other grassy areas in the complex too. There is a fine for not picking up after your dog, but I have a feeling it is not enforced. I observed my neighbor several times, told the office, but their behavior didn't change. I did finally step out on my balcony after witnessing it and asked my neighbor to please pick up after their dogs; she muttered something but did it. There was snow that week so the piles of poop were highly visible. Think I observed her picking up over 10 different piles of poop that one time.
