Our son was a bit nervous for the first meeting as he didn't really know what to expect, but as soon as LeeAnn came in, she put our son at ease. She is so friendly and works great with kids. During the first meeting, she did an assessment to see where he is at. She then met with Taylor who runs Sprout Reading and they developed a plan for him. I really appreciated that they did this, because they could've just helped him read some books that we have at our house or helped him with some of his homework. I really appreciated how thorough everything was. After just a couple of meetings, she was able to explain to me exactly where it seemed that he was struggling. And, then she got to work on helping him through those areas. In just one month, we have already seen an improvement in his reading abilities. His confidence has increased, and his teacher at school has noticed as well. He is a lot more excited about reading and is more eager to try reading things on his own. We are very excited to see where this takes him in the next few months. Our son also has pretty severe ADHD, and LeeAnn has been wonderful in supporting him with that. She knows how to navigate this in a way that works well for him. I would highly recommend Sprout Reading Intervention!

With upcoming teacher conferences, I am excited to hear more about their growth in their reading skills. As a parent, I have already seen significant improvement! Before working with my English tutor, I was getting mostly Ds on my essays and struggling to organize my thoughts clearly. Since I started tutoring, my grades have gone up to A's! She's incredibly patient, explains things in a way that makes sense, and helps me build confidence in my writing. She doesn't just correct my grammar--she teaches me how to structure essays, strengthen my arguments, and write with more clarity and purpose. She even guided me on how to professionally ask my professor for a chance to revise a paper, which helped me raise a bad grade. So, I don't have a D in the class anymore because she helped me fix them and now I have an A. If you're juggling work and school like me, she's the kind of tutor who truly understands and supports your goals. I can't thank her enough for helping me become a stronger writer and student.

A True Godsend! A 10/10 Educator & Miracle Worker…read more We were in a tough spot in February when our pre-K son didn't pass the entrance exam for a school we deeply wanted him to attend in the fall. The exam required mid-kindergarten level skills--essentially 1.5 years ahead of where he was. I was heartbroken and discouraged, especially after realizing his current school wasn't providing what he needed. But then we found Mrs. Shelby... and everything changed. We connected with Mrs. Shelby on February 13 and began sessions just five days later. In only 6 weeks, she worked absolute magic. Not only did she teach our son the entire accelerated curriculum he needed, but she made the learning process so fun and engaging that he didn't even realize he was working at an advanced pace. When he retook the exam on April 2, he passed with flying colors and confidence. I can say with certainty--his success is 100% because of Mrs. Shelby. Her sessions are joyful, personalized, and thoughtfully designed. She consistently assesses progress and even created a custom scope and sequence that showed exactly where our son was starting from and how she'd bridge the gap to where he needed to be. That level of care, structure, and strategy is rare--and I was blown away. Our son loves seeing her, and so do we! She's not only an incredible teacher--she's a beautiful soul who clearly adores working with children and brings out the best in them. In fact, we love working with her so much that we've asked her to start supporting our older daughter to stay ahead in school too. Mrs. Shelby is a 10/10--trustworthy, kind, incredibly effective, and just plain wonderful. If you're lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with her, take it.
