Everything you would expect in a newsagents, and also I gues everything you could need, because I mean you would never head into a newsagents and be dissapointed that they are not selling golf clubs would you!

Basically they sell papers and mags plus a small range of groceries, including bread, milk and eggs. What makes it great, though, is the friendly and slightly eccentric guy who runs the place. He's well known in the area for his friendly, flattering greetings. Men will receive, 'Hey, boss man, how's it going?'; while women are greeted with, 'Where's your boyfriend, James Bond?' A really cheery bloke, and he always remembers my regular order, this is what a local shop should be all about.

He also told me I had the valentines spirit which absolutely made my day. As someone who is partially deaf it is nice to find a business owner who make the effort to communicate clearly, there are never any misunderstandings between us x

Thanks to a Western Union money section in this Evening Post shop the front has quite a different…read moreand snazzy outlook to the norm. The inside of the shop and the services on offer both follow suit. It's a well laid out place with freshly made sandwiches, chocolates and drinks for the food side of things. The newspapers and magazines are a broad range touching on every subject from lots of kid's comics to the, well, more risqué numbers. To push the benchmark even further there's a really nice little bit at the back offering some Asian whole foods and further in, a really good choice of red wine, whiskey and brandy. For an Evening Post shop, or indeed any shop, this one's made a real effort.
