Stopped in with my mom today to pay her bill. She's a little stubborn at the best of times, but this year she's been extremely sick and it's affected her temperament a lot. As soon as we started talking to a mobile specialist (I read his name tag but now I forget! I feel so terrible lol), she instantly refused to get the app and explained a whole tangent about how she lost her previous debit card and just wanted to pay her bill. The guy assisting us was so helpful and polite, and made the payment process really easy while gently offering ways that we could make this easier in the future (with the t-mobile card, using the app to autopay, etc). I also work in customer service, and my mom wasn't being actively nasty or anything but she's having a hard time and was just hung up on things that made it harder for him to do his part of the transaction, but you never would have guessed by how gracious he was towards us today.
It doesn't seem like much, I guess, but getting that errand accomplished easily because of some considerate staff allowed us to leave the store perfectly happy and ready to have a nice time at the mall with her; a few weeks ago, we thought that was something we'd never be able to do again. Thank you again for the kindness! read more
