After calling multiple times, and getting the response "forward progress has been made" and "we'll call you back before the end of the day" bs, it took a trip to the shop to confirm it. As a result, they had to mail my computer off for a couple of weeks for more repairs. The way they informed me that they would have to mail the laptop in for further repairs was to call me up and ask, "What's your password?" with no explanation.
