Stopped in this store to do a simple activation as a new customer with all the info in hand from a different location. Not only was I effectively called stupid to my face several times (in tone and words) for coming in foolishly saying the wrong things that I was clearly not entitled to. I was also repeatedly warned to be careful since the other store and staff were inept, giving incorrect info and I, apparently not smart enough to catch it. Not only had the other store been professional and thorough, they'd taken the time to print off exactly what I needed so I could go to any TMobile shop to sign up as a new customer when I had the time. Who knew joining T Mobile could be so painful and frankly, not worth it after 4 visits to various Manhattan locations. This shop though, takes the cake in poor customer service. So I embarked upon T mobile Tuesday but when I attempted to answer the question to their quiz to get tickets to upcoming performances all the answerable question were pre-selected and you could answer 2 correctly but no matter what you chose for the 3rd it was always wrong disqualifying you for winning and getting the prize. Really awesome staff. I came into the store with 2 hours to go before my flight to JFK and asked if they could help me upgrade my phone in time for me to make it to the airport. The store associate Bradley was incredibly helpful and made the promise smooth and as quick as possible. I've been to many T-Mobile stores throughout the years but here I felt like the staff actually cared about my situation and really wanted to help me get the best phone. Me and my friends had an amazing customer service experience with the sales rep Brad T. when we moved our lines from another provider to tmobile. Brad just went above and beyond on getting things done fast and found creative ways to resolve any issues. T mobile has a pretty complex plan structure especially when you consider multiple factors like adding family members or trading in devices, Brad was so on top of all the details that he made it very easy for us to understand. I wish I read these reviews before I went. I had gone to the store to purchase a new Note 4. I spoke with the sales girl, forgot to write down her name, and was told that I cannot buy that phone to use on my T-Mobile pre-paid plan. I was confused as I've never heard of this, but she assured me that I can only get it if I were to go to the monthly plan. I told her that I didn't want the monthly plan as my pre-paid plan was a better deal. She informed me that I could get the S5 on the pre-paid plan, so I agreed since the S5 was my 2nd choice. I was content with the S5 for a few days until I walked by another T-Mobile store and just wanted to see if they had the Note 4 in stock, they said it wasn't available until 10/17, and also said that I COULD purchase the phone to use on the pre-paid plan and said they didn't understand why the sales associate would say that, other than pushing the sale/commission on the S5. This was a little upsetting so I called up T-Mobile and they said they understood what I was coming from and offered me to return the S5 and get the phone that I wanted, the Note 4. They understood this wasn't the "Buyers Remorse" situation and had put a memo on my account that I would NOT have to pay the $50 restocking fee for the return. She said simply ask for the manager and refer him to my account memo section. Armed with that, I brought the phone into the store and did as I was told. When I asked the manager, Chris, to check the memo regarding the restocking fee, he dismissed the notion that I was entitled to the waived restocking fee. He claimed "it just says you don't want to pay it and nothing about it being waived." He told me to call back T-Mobile and have them update the memo. He began defending the store sales associate because it was "her word against mine". So much for the customer is always right? When I called back, the customer rep said that the memo was pretty clear but offered to add another memo directing the store manager to waive the restocking fee. Clearly the store manager just wanted to annoy me or have me just say "forget it". After the call, I had the manager check again and he didn't say anything after reading it other than instructing another sales associate to process my refund. Also it's been 5 days and I haven't seen the return reflected, so I will keep this updated. That being said, go to another T-Mobile retail location. read more

Denise, Bryan and Annell went above and beyond to find a solution for me since I'll be traveling this week. I left the store not only happy with the outcome but very pleased to know that even with big companies customer service is still valued and customers are taken care of. Rude customer service. If the person behind the counter was working for me, I would have fired her on the spot. This is not a place to ask questions - simply walk in, buy what you want, and get out. They dont appreciate people spoiling their 'flow of the doing nothing all day'. I tried to order 2 Galaxy Note 9's but the sales associate, Ralph, told me I needed to purchase 2 accessories or they would not sell me the phones. The reason? I had just purchased a Samsung Exhibit II 4G prepaid phone around Thanksgiving but did it online (thanks to a promotional $100 credit) and had some questions buzzing around my head for about a week. I strolled past this store and thought I'd go in to throw these questions at someone and I was very glad I did. I can't remember the employee's name but he knew the answers to everything (data plan, what's available in the store vs. online, cancellation policites, warranties, etc.).
