The price tags are a bit outrageous, but Anthro regularly has decent sales and sales sections. On my most recent visit, all the holiday items were steeply discounted, for example. Second, your money might stretch a bit farther if you shop in the home section. You could find some signature mugs or plates that you'll use for years to come that aren't *that* expensive. Plus these make great gifts. The staff are also always nice and quick to greet. I'd love to one day be someone who could go to Anthro and buy all the things. For now, though, I can dream.

One of my favorite watches had been sitting in my jewelry drawer for several years because the last time I took it to a watch replacement shop to get a battery (approximately 5 years ago and I'm not kidding), I was told that since it was such a nice watch, the "battery" would be much more expensive and was quoted a price to which I declined. Today, I decided to try Batteries Plus. The manager explained that this watch had no battery, but had a sensor (or something like that) and that they were much more expensive and I'd have to take it to a jewelry store to get that replaced. He then told me that if I would start wearing the watch, it would likely start working again and that I just needed to wear it more often. He said that if wearing it didn't work, to then take it to a jewelry store, but to make sure I wore it consistently for a while. Much to my surprise, he was correct. The watch works perfectly after wearing it for one day. He was very helpful and saved me a lot of money! The staff at this store are always very competent and friendly. Usually I'm in and out at this place but, there was a line outside of people returning things. A sign on the door indicated if line is long or store is full to wait outside. I never had that happen before. It was cold outside and maybe waited 10 minutes so it wasn't all bad despite being cold outside. Once I made it to the front, the process was easy and the employee said they weren't gonna charge me for tape. I used my own tape to tape up the box so idk what that was all about. Just glad I was able to return my package with ease.
