As a first time, over 60 visitor, I had a great experience at this location. I think it was Mills (sorry I didn't get her name) and her co-worker. I believe Mills was the manager. She treated me like she would her mother and I understood exactly what was happening. I don't leave negative reviews. If it's bad, I just let it go. However, this was SO bad I feel people should know not to waste their time. This is by far the worst T-Mobile store I've ever been in. When you go in, no one acknowledges you and you have no idea how to know where you are in line. They have a few little cubes to sit on which are more like a child's ottoman than an adult seat. At one point I asked if we needed to register or take a number and a girl sitting with a customer told be I was after the guy in a red hat. A woman who appeared to be a manager came out of the back complaining to other employees that she was on hold still waiting to set up training. Eventually, she came back out and began to assist the other employees. She was being shadowed by a young African-American gentlemen who actually did try to help and was nice. I had an issue with my phone, but really wanted to buy a new phone. She made it very clear that store only sells iPhone, they don't help you with them and was trying to send me to the Apple store. The now closed Baymeadows T-Mobile store at Reedy Branch was always very helpful as I'd originally switched to T-Mobile at that store and they had no issues helping set up iPhones. The Riverside Avenue store has been helpful when I was there. T-Mobile made a huge mistake closing the store on University near St. Augustine Rd. It's really sad when the only helpful or pleasant employee in the store is one in training. I won't waste my time again at this location. read more

11-7-23 Update for older T-Mobile review. My T-Mobile internet service is working great now. The problem apparently was that my old printer and TV were not compatible with the WIFI that is built in to the T-mobile gateway. Once I attached my old wireless router to the gateway, everything worked fine. It would have been nice if the staff at the Gainesville Oaks Mall store could have suggested this. Instead I had to figure it out by trial and error. read more

Love this place! I was assisted today by Jeanmarie who welcomed me as if I was her daughter! The service I needed was simple but she surprisingly gave exceptional service, amazing energy! I've never had an issue with any associates at this location, so that is a plus, I will be going back to this one in particular because it's never overly crowded and they are always attentive to our needs. This store is on a joke! Jeanmarie and Alvin wasted more than three hours of my time for an account upgrade and to add home internet. They gave me a faulty modem, and when I returned it, Jeanmarie, who begged me for a positve review hours earlier, told me it would be a minute, and then disappeared out the back door. Alvin continued to waste even more of my time helping other customers that arrived after i did and trying to troubleshoot the obviously malfunctioning router instead of just giving me a new one. Under no circumstances should anyone waste their time or money at this location, go directly to an actual Tmoble corporate store, this place is a clown show! Update: I have now been waiting an hour for Alvin to give me a new router. I am the last customer in the store, and Alvin is making it perfectly clear that he is going to make me wait until he has served everyone that came in after me. Just wow that this place is in business. Update II: After waiting an hour and a half, Alvin gave me another broken router. This store is amazing only in its exceeding incompetence and unprofessionalism. Update III I returned the second faulty modem to an actual T mobile corporate store. Before I could finish telling them what had transpired up to that point, the associate said "University"? Apparently 5921 T-mobile has a well known reputation for being completely incompetent. The associate at the corporate store was able to identify and fix the problem in less than half an hour. And of course, the problem was not the modems, the store just didnt activate the SIM cards in the units. That is an exceptional level of incompetence for a business that solicits for good reviews. Jeanmarie, this is definitely on you. Your store, your lack of care. You did read where you and your team are not doing your jobs and as a result are sending out bad equipment and wasting people's time. pull your entire stock and check the sim cards and actually activate them. Its embarrassing that a customer has to train you how to do your job. Youre welcome. Update IV: I called Jeanmarie to tell herabout my displeasure and to inform her what they were doing wrong. I was given a price from a competitor and the discount is larger than what this company misleads about offering such a big discount. 20 discount is it even a quarter of my bill. I went in today to upgrade one of 4 phones on my plan. I was told if I bought an iphone, I would get an iwatch at 50% off today. Awesome! Right? No. It went downhill from there. I picked out the iphone. The girl told me how many gigs it had and the price. Then I picked out my iwatch and paid for both and all the accessories (screen protector and case for phone). Then I see on my receipt that the iphone has only 1/2 the gigs she told me. Not wanting to redo everything, I let it go. So my bf starts transferring all his contacts from his old phone to his new iphone while I had to download an upgrade to my iphone to be able to pair the watch with it. Finally the download is complete, new iwatch phone account set up with tmobile and 2 hours later, I am ready to pair them. Everything is paid and this is the last step. All of a sudden the girl gets a call from her manager that the promotion she offered me ended 3 days ago. What?!? So now I have to either pay the full price or give it back. Really dissapointed, I gave it back, went thru the whole process to refund the charges and undo it on my account. The girl says that should take care of removing it from my account. So I get home and check my acct online, and tmobile still shows an active iwatch line. So i called customer service, explained what happened, and they couldnt change it because of some retail code the store placed. Now I have to go waste more of my life today back in their store to have it removed. Total crock! I am so irritated that after 17 years, I am ready to drop tmobile!! read more

I was having issues with my iPhone 6, I came in to have it checked out and was greeted right away and helped within minutes by the Store Manager (I believe his name was Kory, I may be wrong). He troubleshot my phone and pointed a few things out and even changed out the SIM card to make sure there was no issue with it, he even went as far as looking into my rate plan and finding more services/data for less money then I am paying for at that time. I have been with T-Mobile for 13 years and this was the best experience I have had at any time in any store I've gone to. Needless to say the customer service level was excellent and I will definitely return. read more
