Absolutely terrible customer service experience! Worst experience ever.
I went in yesterday to switch from Verizon due to a poor now almost 100% automated customer service system. When I got there, I was a assisted by one of the customer service reps, and she was generally helpful and fine. However, further along I was assisted by an assistant manager by the name of Chris (male, short with glasses) who gave me attitude with a smirk on his face, and when I came in the next day to complete my transfer, intentionally walked right past me and assisted the customer behind me. After I asked him why he had walked by me, he said, with the same smirk, "oh, you look familiar, have you been here before," and when I said "yes, you helped yesterday" and asked again why he had walked right past me, he said "I thought you were being helped since you were here yesterday". Wait, so you don't remember me, but you walked right past me because you thought I didn't need help since I was here yesterday????
When I asked for the store ID number and he realized I was going to file a complaint, he said "Come on, Man" and started walking away, and when I asked his name, he covered his name tag.
Then I started walking out of the store and before I could make it out, the manger, Chris (female, short hair, with tattoos on her knuckles) came after me and asked what the problem was. She asked me step outside and proceeded to tell me that I didn't need to file a complaint because all they would do is ask her to deal with it (not true, as per the telephone customer service manager I spoke to later that afternoon). When I told her what had happened, she said "oh, no, he said he didn't do that, and I've been here a month and I know my guys don't lie to me." Then she asked me if I wanted to go across the street to another store because they had a shorter wait. So the manager was basically trying to sweep my concern right under the rug!
I'm in customer/client service myself, so I know you get more bees with honey. Accordingly, while this was all happening, I was referring to everyone as 'sir' and 'ma'am,' and saying 'please' and repeatedly saying 'thank you,' until I'd had enough of the attitude. Not sure what the problem was to begin with, but it is hard to believe how bad this was. And I truly gave them every opportunity to correct their behavior and help me out...
Absolutely terrible in my opinion! Still going with T Mobile as their phone customer service seems to be great, but this store is a train wreck in my opinion.
Update: if you want great service, go to the T Mobile store on 151st in Olathe - they were very friendly and provide great, prompt service! read more
