Carey Design Build

It seems most people use Yelp to review restaurants, bars, hotels etc and leave the contractors to…read moreAngie's List, but the heck with it; here goes... My gf and I recently had Carey Contracting do an extensive bathroom/laundry room remodel. They were top notch - professional, offered good, clear communication, were quick, did good work, and were fair priced. They used (with necessary modification) our plans which required demolition, reframing, insulation, replacing and rerouting plumbing, electrical, window(s) installation, tiling, paneling and trim work. They also installed a non-standard door in our old log home. Some of this work required subcontractors, who despite one hiccup, performed well. I had previously contacted three smaller area contractors, none of who could even be bothered to return my calls and/or provide an estimate until a "week or so". One contractor even indicated he would not bid on the job if we pursued a competitive bidding process. One call to Carey and we had a walkthrough of the potential remodel area the next day, and a estimate the following week. Approximately six weeks after the start of the demolition we now have a brand new bathroom that is not only highly functional but beautiful.

They estimated when they said they would. They did the work they said they would and I have to say it was a very pleasant experience. They honor their word. This summer I'm building a large pole garage at my place and guess who got the nod? That's right, Carey Contracting. Believe me, if I had not been satisfied with the fire rebuild then I would have chosen another contractor. No hesitation on my part; if you want honest work at a fair price, go with Carey!

Ben Adams and Darin worked well beyond my expectations in replacing the old cedar wood trim on the glass railing on my deck. Together the two men worked as one with ideas and communication to creatively complete a difficult job. The new pressure treated wood was carefully routered to hold the glass perfectly to display the beautiful lake. The estimate was fair; the work was efficiently and professionally done. I will continue to call only them for all of my future projects. Thank you Ben and Darin.

The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Our other choice is a big box store The thing I liked about Perks is they are a local businesss with all the work being done on location in what seemed to be a very well organized, clean environment. Its hard to imagine this type of service from a large chain store. We are in the process of price comparison at which time a decision will be made. ...... We have our countertops in and they look gorgeous. The workmanship was top notch! The installer (Mike, did an excellent job). We are extremely happy with the well done professional job by Perks.
