There's big savings to buy it here rather than say the touristy Mars Cheese Castle in Kenosha. Here 12 packs go for $16.99, but at Mars it will be at least $3 more for that same 12 pack. You can also opportunistically pick up household items you might be needing and save the 5% difference in WI versus IL state tax.

I knew that we had a pay a visit while in town. What a great experience! Schroeder's has been open since 1891. While I loved learning about their history...it's a great place to shop. Schroeder's has a coffee house, men's and women's clothing, a yarn shop, bookstore, a toy store, souvenirs and all sorts of other merchandise. I bought a few books and a pair of moccasin slippers. My friends bought t-shirts and a puzzle. The people working the store were helpful, friendly and truly passionate about Schroeder's history. This is a store that has managed to stay true to its heritage, but stay relevant. If you're in the Manitowoc/Two Rivers area, Schroeder's Department Store is a must stop kind of place.
