Our last visit was during the COVID-19 era. Everyone I saw (employees and customers) all had masks and were very respectful. The employees have always been very nice and helpful when I have visited. The shelves are always stocked and I have never experienced an issue with not getting exactly what I came for. This Walmart and the one in Richland, Wisconsin, are the 2 best Walmarts I have ever visited in regard to cleanliness, friendliness, and dependability. It is a 5 star Walmart, I just can't bring myself to give a Walmart 5 stars based on principle and previous experience with the corporation that owns Walmart (sorry Sturgeon Bay Walmart; it's not you, it's me).

Schroeder's has a coffee house, men's and women's clothing, a yarn shop, bookstore, a toy store, souvenirs and all sorts of other merchandise. I bought a few books and a pair of moccasin slippers. My friends bought t-shirts and a puzzle. The people working the store were helpful, friendly and truly passionate about Schroeder's history. This is a store that has managed to stay true to its heritage, but stay relevant. If you're in the Manitowoc/Two Rivers area, Schroeder's Department Store is a must stop kind of place.
