I've been to better TJ Maxx shops but still I cannot resist finding a bargain. The store is junkie and things are strewn about, staff is usually seen chatting it up or walking around. Cloths here are not very good but we like the candles and pet sections as well as some of the "gourmet" food ha ha.

This store recently opened and got me in the door with a $10 coupon for a $10 minimum purchase--a…read morepretty good deal if you ask me. I wanted to show my gratitude by writing a review. This store was a little peculiar, as Burlington Coat Factories go. It looks a little fancy, pretty clean, sleek and new, but it's mostly the same stuff. Men's stuff is in the basement, Women's on the ground floor, and Children's upstairs. I found the women's section to have a disproportionate amount of handbags and things, and a lot less in the way of clothing. The men's section was more normal, but it was skewed more towards shirts and had some notable omissions (they had no pajama pants!). Like this store usually is, it was hit-or-miss, with high-quality brands mixed in with really low-quality ones, and all in a similar price range. I also found some women's socks mixed in with the men's socks. Overall, I found the clothing here to be more bright and colorful than is typical. I've visited two other Burlington locations (Lancaster outlets and center city Philly) multiple times, and the clothing at these other stores tends to be pretty drab. This place is an explosion of color, which perhaps reflects the demographics in this neighborhood--and I found it welcome. Men's clothing is a little more drab, as usual, but I still found it more colorful than normal. The checkout line moves fast, which was good, because there was a long line. I was impressed with the efficiency of the employees here. The other day I was at a K-mart in center city and it was a disaster, so I can really appreciate speed on this point. One downside of this place is parking...there's no lot, leaving you to find street parking, which wasn't very hard, but may take effort if you go at a busier time. Thankfully, this place is within easy walking distance of the 69th street terminal, a place I usually find myself every week or every other week or so, so it's conveniently accessible without a car. I personally am a big fan of transit so I was happy to see (and support) a store opening up in a transit-oriented area. If this place wanted 5 stars? I'd recommend them ditching the low-quality brands (stuff like Perry Ellis men'swear, cheap stuff that falls apart after a few months of use) and carrying less stuff but focusing on quality. Like I said, there are high-quality brands mixed in here at about the same prices, but they're mixed in with junk brands. I also think this place would do well to be a tad more comprehensive...where are the PJ pants? Maybe more men's hats? And I know it's approaching spring but there were no hats, scarves, or gloves I found in either men's or women's and I think it's important to stock at least a few of these year-round.

So today's challenge was finding a small, comfortable chair -- the operative word being "comfortable" -- to sit in and watch tv. I hate the look of oversized furniture and like some other rooms in our condo, there isn't an abundance of space. I found a chair in Tuesday Morning. It wasn't all that comfortable, and it sure wasn't cheap. Same with Home Goods. As an afterthought, we darted in to Ross, and golly be .... a chair that worked! Comfortable, relatively small, and half the price of other places. I left the tag on (temporarily) in case I find better. But I know I won't. While I was at it, I bought a laundry hamper also 50% less than Tuesday Morning. It might be another story if I was looking at clothing but today, on my mission, I'm a happy shopper.

Soooowuh! in my efforts to make some decor enhancements without breaking my coin purse...cuz y'all know I'm Frugal Francine when it comes to departing from my coinage...I stepped into Ross. I was in the market for a 3D wall art piece but nothing was catching my eye or matching my color scheme. But!...since they are EXPENSIVE and I'm crafty...I decided to make my own. Ross is almost an everything store. Need shoes? Their boots are made for walking! Pots? Let's get cooking! From Clothing to notebooks and my destination station...HOME DECOR!! They had exactly what I needed. I was able to find some 3D Flowers for $5.99 and a canvas 2 pack for $1.99. Ended up finding a vase that inspired my living room decor for a measly $15.99!! Once I had my goods, it was checkout time. Unfortunately, the fun stops there. They are usually understaffed so this may not be a "lunch break" pop in. If long waits are your kind of fun then you'll love the loud-speaking to each other across the registers without a salutation. Good times, right. Most Parking can be hectic because it's a shopping strip but nonetheless a few circles around the parking lot or up the block and you're sure to nab a spot. They are located on the corner near the garage and near street parking so if you grab large items, loading can prove difficult with the stoplight and such. So, if you need a little bit of everything with champagne taste on a beer budget then this might be your place. Just make sure you have a few extra minutes and some good headphones.

Generally, I try to do the logical thing, go food shopping. While food shopping at the save-alot store (1500 Garrett Road, Upper Darby PA 19082), I notice that I was being follow around to every isle. Almost as if they were recommended to be in the store just for my present. -one guy with yellow jacket, partial face cover, pretending to buy green plantain -one with employee blue shirt -the other with jacket hoody over his head -the other with the thick black mustache, also partial face cover. As I walk pass the guy with the jacket hoody over his head and the yellow jacket, I say out loud "stop stalking me". One major issue is that people like me are label as pest or troublemaker for defending themselves. My question: what are we supposed to do, just except the harassment? Legally, I would like a good and comfortable shopping experience, like stated in the Save-alot policy. Unless your policy is fraudulent or this is personal attack. Verified, I always pay with my bank card or credit card in which include all my information's. This whole situation does not make sense. It is almost as if they have face recognition on me. I thought they had a recall on that technology, because of mistaken identity, based on a person built and face structure. Frustratedly, this is not the first time, I am sure it is not going to be the last time. Anyhow, I food shopping at this store because it convenient. Plus, I get the items I need at a fair price. I firmly recommend this harassment to stop, or I just might take legal action. I have visited this location numerous times and this time I must say that I will probably not visit this location in the near future. I visited on a Saturday, December 14th. There were a lot of customers in the store and the parking lot was crowded. Of course, because people are buying items for Christmas, so this is not at all unusual. I only needed a few items, such as two Christmas cards for family members, pocket tissues, hefty storage bags and some baby powder. Needless to say, I raced through the store and prepared to stand in line to pay for my items. I was deciding which line was the shortest and I must say, there were no short lines. I decided to use the process of elimination and decided on this line near the door. The sales associate, Rasheeda was speedy and was getting people in and out the door. I salute her for this. The gentleman in front of me needed balloons and I mean a lot of balloons. No one else and thats including me expected Rasheeda to leave the cashier station and proceed to blow up balloons for the customer in front of me. Rasheeda is then blowing up balloons and we, all of us, other customers, are patiently still waiting in line and waiting for Rasheeda to finish. It took forever because the gentleman customer needed at least fifteen balloons. None of us could understand why someone else in the store could have blown up this man's balloons. We, the other customers started talking and commenting, saying it wasn't fair like we had to wait so long. We didn't get in another line, because all other lines, about two total were busy also. It would have been ridiculous to get out of line and wait in another line since then we would have to go at the back of the line. The lady behind me complained and went over to Rasheeda. Rasheeda was understanding and agreed with us that we should not have to wait so long and that someone else in the store should have blown up the balloons. Its Christmas time for one thing and all stores are crowded now!!! Finally Rasheeda came back and apologized to all of us. We told her that it wasn't her fault, but someone else should have blown up the balloons. She agreed with us and she said that she has been working there for three years and that she asked the corporate people to hire someone for the balloon job. That was a waste of time, she said because no one listened to her. I decided to write about my experience here, to alert other potential shoppers about this situation. Good night Yelp Family!! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!!!!!
