Many clothing options at some great prices. There was absolutely NO floor service (I had to go in…read morethe back myself to look at their shoe inventory). Cashier was friendly and helpful. Phone accessibility is terrible. I suspect that Belk's days are numbered.

My wife and I went shopping at the Belks stores in Southern Pines NC on 5-23-2026. As I walked…read moretoward the check out counter a Hispanic male was standing back a few feet from the register. I ask him if he was in the check out line and he told me that he was waiting on the cashier straight ahead of him and that I could go to the other cashier. After speaking to him I went to the other cashier (a white female) to check out. She begin fussing me out stating I was jumping line ahead of some other customers walking up. The other customers never spoke to the Hispanic male who was at the check out line when I arrived there. I am 75 years old and did not appreciate her talking down to me like an animal or a child. After she mouthed off to me I told her that I was in line ahead of the other people and tossed the clothing to her telling her where she could put them and left the store. If the store has video cameras they can review the incident and see that I asked the only person (Hispanic male) who was at the cashier's counter if he was in line before proceeding to the check out. The other customers must have been family or friends to be given priority. Regardless, the Belk employee had no reason to talk down to me like she did. I have been going to Belks to shop since I was a teenager (over 60 years when they had a store in downtown Aberdeen) to purchase clothing, jewelry and other items but will not step foot in another one again. Any video would back up what I have stated. **Store can not survive without people shopping there! Maybe this type of incident is part of the reason Belks is having financial issues.

I've had the opportunity to visit many different Target stores in my life. I was thrilled when it…read morewas noted that this would be one of the largest Target stores in the region! I was thrilled we would be getting a high quality, new fangled, Disney store crested Target. I was thrilled we would be getting a Target at all. Jump to the opening - this...? This is supposed to be a large Target? Certainly, the building housing it is massive...but the sales floor is one of the smallest I think I've ever been to. My best guess - most of the space is being used for the drive up warehouse. Of the 40+ spots for it in the parking lot, I've seen it being used a total of 3 times. 2 of them were me. This seems wasteful and lacks an understanding of actual guest experience. Another misunderstanding of guest experience? Assuming that because on paper our area is demographically mostly old white people, this is who will be shopping here. There is no Disney store and the seasonal section that would be geared toward young people, families or kids is almost non existent. The entertainment section is bizarre and the toy section is plentiful, but confusing in its organization. Last but not least - groceries. I don't know why I had it in my head that this would be akin to a super target (which is the best, because deuces wallyworld). Maybe because they were so vocal about how large the store was going to be? But this grocery has some of the worst selection I've ever seen, even for a small target. As someone who consumes mostly plant based items, target has always been my go to because they have historically carried affordable, delicious, plant based options. This target offers the absolute bare minimum. This is BEFORE the whole stupid orange anus DEI removal garbage. I liked being included, thank you very much. Do you know how hard it is to snag impossible meat from here? Yeah guys, people would like you to carry more plant based options (but not that rockstar brand...I didn't stop eating meat because I didn't like the taste). Other honorable mentions: - The Ulta section takes up too much space. There is an actual Ulta store within walking distance, so I'm not sure why on earth this was added. - there is no grab and go snack section. Sure, there is a Starbucks, but maybe I want popcorn and a Diet Coke? It would be cheaper, that's for sure. - the self checkout section on the right side (or left depending on the direction you're facing) is ALWAYS closed. I get it, the store is never busy anymore because the company missed the mark. But sometimes I park on that side. It's been open almost six months, so I feel pretty confident that I've been enough times to adequately review. I'll give it two stars because it's still better than Walmart.

My kids and I visited this store Tuesday July 28th late afternoon/evening to get a birthday gift…read morefor a friend. When we were leaving, we accidently left my mini backpack in the shopping cart when we returned it to the area with all the other carts in the store. I realized once we got home that we had forgotten it and I called the store immediately to see if it had been turned in. I described my bag and the male worker confirmed that they had found it and they would keep it until I was able to come back for it. I relayed to them I wasnt able to be back until another day since i live in a different town and they said it was not a problem, they would hold on to it until I picked it up. I was able to go back on Thursday the 29th. I told the two female workers that were at the service desk that I was there to claim my lost backpack, which they at first thought I meant on I had purchased and left behind. I then explained that it was my personal item that I came in with and it was forgotten in the cart when we were leaving. They walked to the back area behind the online pick up and service desks to look for it and when they came back they told me it was not there. I was informed by one of the two that the "night crew" comes in and "clears out" things out every now and then and that my bag was probably thrown out! I was told it happens sometimes weekly or after just a couple days. Either Target has a bad policy for lost and found items or they have workers stealing from that area. Either one is not acceptable! I now have to replace things that should have been kept safe, as that is what I was told would happen, and no longer have the sentimental items that were with it. I question shopping at this store in the future.
