The chicken or lamb curry, served with rice, are delicious. The vegetarian lasagna as well as moussaka are amazing too. All are 8,75 GBP. I definitely recommend the fox!

I'd give The Fox a 3.5 star. I've heard a lot of recommendation regarding this pub (especially the…read moreSunday roasts). Finally got a chance to try (best to book in advance). Like the previous comment, this place is fully of children (which doesn't bother me). It's also a dogs friendly pub (that's why it's so popular). We booked a table for 4, we got there on time and the table was available, no waiting. The waitress there was really friendly. She took our orders and the drinks came first. The food came after a good 45 min wait. We had high expectation. I had chicken and the rest had beef. They are very tender, lovely gravy as well. The only thing which I wasn't sure was the wait. While we were waiting for our food, they put a sign on our table and said the table was reserved (the people were coming in an hour time). It was like, the food wasn't here yet and they were expecting us to return the table in an hour. Why didn't give us the food quicker and we wouldn't feel the pressure... Anyway, it didn't give me the urge to go back anytime soon. But it's good to know where we can have a good Sunday roast.

This place is hilarious…read more Nestled in the surburban-y nowhere of South Ealing is this strange and wonderful place. I'd heard of West Five. It has an ambiguous reputation, meaning my imagination ran wild with the all kinds of grott and depravity it could be. This place blew my expectations. I imagined some tacky bar with large dancefloor and disco-balls galore. Some attempt to rival the Soho scene. Oh No. It's a pub. A really big pub. Traditional pub sign hanging high outside proudly coloured in rainbow. Inside, aside from the purple-pink neon bar it's your local. Good selection behind the bar and really reasonable prices. The staff are unpretentious and friendly. There's a real feeling of community here, everyone knowing everyone, instead of everyone sleeping with everyone. We went on a Friday, the evening started early with great entertainment. A wonderful gentleman playing you show tune classics on the stunning grand piano in one section of the bar. We moved from the dance classics to join him. He took requests and invited us up to sing. It was a wonderful atmosphere for friends catching up. Moving on from civilised sing song and chat we take up our space on the dancefloor and get ready for the head-liner. A fantastic caliber of drag act entertained us. Far from your dodgy man in a dress was this wonderful entertainer that warmed us up for an energetic night on the dancefloor. This pub is great for groups. Pool table, seating, different spaces for different crowds and a good atmosphere. It's not always very busy, even on this particular Friday it was no where near full, and it was quite clear they were mainly audience for the headline act. Don't get me wrong, it's still all kinds of camp, disco balls included and the ladies leave a lot to be desired but it's got a lot of soul. I wish this place was not in the arse crack of no where, but I suppose if it was, it wouldn't be the same.

This is my favorite gay venue in the whole of London!…read more The place is just great, it's big, got friendly staff and something for everyone. Bingo nights, karaoke nights, quiz nights, DJ's, drag shows, a massive garden, a piano lounge, big dance floor, comfy sofas, yeah, everything you could wish for when you want a night out! Another reason for this being my favorite place is that the people who go there seems more relaxed than in central London. Less artificial and pretentious. There is also a big mix between girls and boys, women and men, straights and gays, in all ages! If you want a good and fun night out, or just somewhere to chill, this is your place!

On my first visit, after being greeted, I waited nearly an hour just to receive water and a menu. During that time, other patrons who arrived after me were quickly attended to and served food and drinks, despite the restaurant not being busy. This delay was unusual and immediately gave me a sense that I was being treated differently. I decided to give the place another chance the next day because I enjoyed the ambiance and fireplace. However, the same troubling pattern repeated itself. I sat for almost an hour without being offered water or a menu. It took so long I opened a book. When I finally asked for water, assuming the menu would come. The manager told me I would need to leave if I wasn't ordering anything, even though I had not been given a menu or had the chance to order yet. As I waited with people passing me by for a second day with no menu or water offered until an hour and then be prompted to leave. The service I received was not only slow but felt discriminatory and exclusionary. The fact that other guests were attended to promptly while I was ignored made me feel singled out and unwelcome. While the atmosphere and fireplace are nice, the way I was treated made it impossible for me to enjoy the experience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend eating here if you are a person of color, as the treatment I received was unacceptable and gave me serious concerns about the establishment's approach to hospitality and inclusivity. I would not recommend eating here overall if you want good customer service. It missed the mark and the worst restaurant I have been to thus far in town. 0/10.

Knowing that going to central London would be crazy, people and transportation wise, we knew we had to stick to a place near where we were staying. Thankfully, this pub was opened and had some nice reviews for their roast. I made reservations months before our trip to make sure we secured a spot. I made reservations for 1pm, but didn't show up until 3pm (military time confused me). That was totally my fault, but the hosts were so nice and accommodating and were able to find us a table. We knew we wanted the Sunday roast so we ordered one for our table, and decided to try other dishes: beer battered haddock, farm beef burger, and fried chicken nuggets. The fish was beautifully presented over a bed of chips, and also served with some peas. The peas were decadent: the mint gave it a nice touch. Son loved and secured his burger. The chicken nuggets were also tasty and crunchy. The Sunday roast exceeded our expectations. Plenty hoe gravy and fresh horseradish served on the side. The carrots and another white vegetable I'm not familiar with, we're nicely cooked. The roast was so tasty, tender, and juicy. It made me sad that we could only have this meal once during our trip. We enjoyed our meal with a nice IPA (neck oil) and cider (Cornish orchards) . The mixture of carbs and alcohol gave me enough relaxation to make it home and take the nicest siesta I've had in a while. Anyway, I'm happy I was able to be able to finally try Sunday roast, even though I was two hours late (don't do that), and I highly do recommend trying it here. You won't be disappointed! A cozy pub with great food and beer selection, is there anything else you can ask for?
