Oh and btw when we walked off the 15th hole, there was nobody on the box AND when we finished the last hole, a long par 5 there was nobody on the hole anywhere behind us...so maybe you should have directed your attitude towards the guys behind us.

The wedding vows were held outside and it was about 90 degrees in full sun, very hot, and some residual from the wildfires in Canada. We were all looking forward to getting inside to the AC but unfortunately it was very hot inside the bar area. The dining area was also very warm and uncomfortable, to the point where people were using fans to cool themselves off and not many people were dancing. We left the wedding a little early around 10PM because it was getting too warm. Also, for dinner I had the beef and stuffed chicken. The chicken was tender and good but the beef was overcooked. Most of our tables beef was overcooked, tough, and dry.

My 2 children and I all had the corn dog, and we all liked it, and I tried the smoothie, and it was not good at all... But the ice cream selection is quite good!! The changing rooms are a bit bare-bones, and there are lockers that I believe you can rent at the front of the pool, but we just took our stuff with us. CAUTION!!! IT GETS EXTREMELY SLIPPERY IN THERE, SO WALK WITH CAUTION!!! They weren't the most sanitary, and there was trash on the floor, but it wasn't terrible. One time on the Tube Slide me and my 4 year old daughter flipped, and he wasted no time grabbing my daughter ASAP so she wouldn't go under (the current is EXTREMELY STRONG). But some lifeguards just stand there like a post and don't move. Shame on them!! It was very packed today, and we still managed to have a lot of fun! There aren't a lot of lawn chairs, and of those, very few are shaded,d but there is a big spot of grass with umbrellas and trees where you can set up base! You can't bring your own chairs or chairs from the pool,l but a blanket is fair game! Pack one just in case their isnt any seats!! Overall, if I lived in the West Chicago Area, I would be a regular at this pool!!! If anyone is on the fence about going to this pool, I highly suggest going!!

There's a rigorous swim test for younger youth, which is perfect bc I'd only feel comfortable with smaller sized kids 50 yards out on the pontoon with twelve to fifteen 16 yo boys and four to five teen females. When we arrived, we noticed a large crowd gathered outside. We walked up to the admissions area, where an employee informed us that the facility had reached capacity due to a major swim event. Because of this, they were only allowing season pass holders to enter and were not selling day passes. We completely understand that facilities have occupancy limits and appreciate the staff for enforcing them. Our frustration is with the lack of communication beforehand. A major event with limited public access should have been clearly posted on the website well in advance so families wouldn't make the trip unnecessarily. To make matters more confusing, the hours listed on Apple Maps and Google Maps were inaccurate, and the website was difficult to navigate. The notice about the capacity restrictions wasn't posted until about an hour before we were turned away. While we were there, we heard several other families expressing the same frustration. No hard feelings toward the employees--they were simply doing their jobs. However, the organization behind the website and event planning should do a much better job communicating closures, capacity limits, and special events to the public.

They are always scanning the water, practicing drills and keeping up with their CPR certs. Ask anyone who visits Sunset Pool and they'll tell you the same thing. I do think the concessions are too pricey for a small town pool, but that's why we also like to bring our own cooler of snacks and drinks to enjoy during swim breaks.

They never offered soft drinks to our guests. This made the event much more stressful to me and the other hosts (although the guests had an excellent time and enjoyed the shower thoroughly). I sent a letter detailing my concerns immediately after the event, but never even received the courtesy of a response.

By the time they had replaced the empty bins, the "shower" portion was beginning and I think guests felt like they shouldn't go up and get seconds or in some case firsts! For sure one has to come when the weather is good. The course is pretty well maintained but can be a little boring to be honest. Among the more affordable golf courses around here and among the few that are public and not a part of a country club. It's a full 18 hole course with maintained greens. There's a good variety in the yardage. Among the amenities are carts. Of course any respectable course should have these. Also there's a clubhouse with a bar and grill. There's a menu of golf themed cocktails along with basic greasy stuff like burgers and wings. If wanting to get lessons, there's a PGA approved instructor. There's also tournaments for juniors. Narrow fairways mean balls in your face coming from the other fairways and tee boxes. Enough said?…read moreNo! If it rains, they have the worst drain system and it gets quite soupy on the course. I really want to like this place because their tee times are not astronomically expensive but the layout can literally kill you because of bad players, narrow fairways, and the ground rating you alive when it's wet. Sorry, GLG, you're just not for me!
