Beware! T Enterprises/DirtWoodMetal are the most unprofessional, amateur, untrained landscapers. You will regret it if you hire them. When installing the irrigation system, Tim cut into the cable and conductors ON PURPOSE in the name of troubleshooting. Then he just taped it up with duct tape and buried it, not knowing he had nicked the red wire. And of course it didn't work when testing with the irrigation controller. Luckily there was one spare wire that wasn't damaged that could be used. When I asked him to replace the cable he damaged because the wires he skinned to troubleshoot it were vulnerable to moisture and grounding out, he said he would not, he didn't install a pipe chase for it under the hardscaping. Also, before the cable damage, when he hooked up to the hose bib for feed to the irrigation valves, he broke the pipe. When he tried to fix it, it still leaked badly. And he tried to hide it by covering it with pipe insulation and black tape. I had to call him to come back and fix it. At another exposed pipe location at the entrance, the pipe he installed was very obviously not straight up and down, I had to ask him to do it over and make it straight. Also, Ryan of Dirtwoodmetal built an unstable fence screen around a separate patio. One touch with your pinky could move it. I asked them to reinforce it. Tim and he spent a day trying to make it solid but it still was flimsy. He even admitted that it would always be "flimsy". Later Ryan and Tim were in a "discussion" and one of them threw a piece of wood at my house, damaging the stucco trim around my windows. Good thing it didn't break the window, it was so close! Finally, I told them to remove the fence screen and deduct it from the bill. Such unprofessional behavior! I could go on and on: they wrecked the existing border at the bottom of the driveway with their equipment, broke a sewage pipe the first day, and punctured another sewer pipe at the entrance another day. They broke two fence boards and tried to replace only one; only when I pointed out the second damaged one did they replace that one too. They damaged the asphalt on the crest of my steep driveway with their equipment, didn't even clean the driveway when done, dumped their sludge from tile cutter into the planting area, and then another time onto my neighbor's property. One day, Tim almost crushed another worker's head while stacking pallets. No safety awareness. They were supposed to seal the pavers, even promising samples of the different finishes to choose from, then claimed it wasn't included in the estimate, even though I made it clear from the beginning that I wanted the pavers sealed. Not enough sand in the paver joints in many areas. No attention to detail unless you point it out to them. They were supposed to be done 2/4/20 and they were not by 2/24/20. In the end I just wanted them out. They were loud and obnoxious, n dust control, spitting loogies on the driveway, played their radio loudly, disturbing the neighbors. I cringe to think of anything else they have hidden in the landscape and how long the paver job, or irrigation pipes will last before it starts deteriorating. Please RUN from these guys are the SO unprofessional, please don't waste your money with them. They have no respect for your property. read more

Tim came over at least 3 times to go over the job, he took his time to learn what we needed done, he returned my phone calls. It looked like an extremely difficult job, due to the fact our house was built on an old quarry. Our back yard was pretty much solid boulders! Not a problem for these guys! My wife and I are very pleased with the outcome. Incredible paving tile work, and a perfect use of some leftover boulders. I really like the retaining wall, which has given us a great terrace for planting trees. The custom tile steps and especially the wheelchair ramp are perfect and very attractive. I want to give a big shout out to Tim and his employee Nick for doing a fantastic job landscaping our back yard! My wife and I could not be happier with the job they did and would give them more than 5 stars if possible! We moved into our new home two years ago and spent a lot of time and money upgrading the interior of the house along with re-landscaping front yard. However, our back yard was a disaster! The original tenants put in a huge slab of concrete and planted three seedless pear trees that grew to over 30 feet tall that dominated the entire back yard. We cut the trees down and pulled out weeds and miscellaneous shrubs. Once we did this we were left with dirt and cement...hardly the back yard of our dreams! I initially reached out to two landscaping companies and the results were not good! One company never called me back and the other company gave me a bid that was at least double my budget and what I felt the job should cost. I was given Tim's number and called him to schedule an appointment.To begin with, Tim showed up at the agreed upon time (always a plus in my book). My wife and I explained our design concept and what we wished to do. As promised, Within one week he emailed me a computerized layout of our back yard with all of our ideas incorporated into the plan. In addition, he made several key suggestions that greatly enhanced our original concept. The icing on the cake was his bid, it was over 50% lower than the first bid and was itemized down to the penny! Once the work began, Tim and Nick were always on schedule and were extremely courteous and helpful. As with all jobs a few tweaks and adjustments were required along the way and Tim was always flexible and accommodating. Tim estimated the job would take them four days and like clock work the job was done within four days! The finished project exceeded our expectations and we now have a truly amazing backyard that we are very proud of. Finally, Tim and Nick stopped by the house several days later to check on everything and to make a few adjustments. In addition, he volunteered to come back to power wash our new paver stone patio so it looks even more amazing! T Enterprises have done a stellar job on two different properties of ours- we couldn't be happier. My wife is an especially discerning client who has excellent taste and strong opinions. They showed up on time and have better communication skills than any contractor we've worked with, which is impossible to find! They quickly installed a large flagstone patio and several paths in front and back that have held up beautifully. Our other property was done a few years ago and the pavers in driveway are still perfect. This is the second time we have hired Tim from T Enterprises. The initial project consisted of a complete re-do of our front yard with drought tolerant plants and beautiful hardscaping. Although Tim was just getting his start running his own business, we were impressed with his ideas, communication during the project and his timeliness. We still have people stop by our house to remark on our landscaping. Just recently we decided to remove our clumping bamboo from our backyard which was close to the fence line. We decided to contact Tim and also got a quote from another landscaper that frequents our neighborhood. The second landscaper never sent us the written quote as discussed, but obviously was doing an upsell as his verbal bid was $10,000 more than Tim's. I am guessing when the other landscaper saw we were getting multiple bids, he realized his unprofessional mistake. Tim and his team showed up on time, were friendly and professional and remained task oriented throughout the day. While removing the bamboo was tricky due to the closeness of the fence line, Tim was able to get the job done with no damage to the lawn or fence. Several of our friends have used Tim's company, after checking out our front yard, and were likewise pleased. During the spring time, we will have Tim return to plant low maintenance drought tolerant plants. While everyone gets some negative reviews on these formats, I was frankly shocked at the few negative reviews as those experiences did not match ours in the least. read more

He tipped be off two the save the water rebate site and followed their guidelines so I was able to get a 2000 dollar rebate. 7. He met me on his day off to select my plants and trees 8. He scheduled me in and showed up on time to start the work and completed the work exactly on time 9. After the work was completed he came by to check and make sure everything was exactly as I wanted. Beware. Hiring Tim and his crew was the worse decision we made when we decided to put a patio in our yard. They build us a patio that did not stand one year before it fell apart, retaining wall is sinking and the patio is no longer safe. They can't deliver what they promise. We spent all our saving to put a patio in our yard and now we have to tear it down and build it again. This will cost us thousands of dollars again. Please be carful before you give these guys a job. The whole crew was always friendly, kind and worked really hard. If they hit a problem (our property includes lots of clay and a strong underground stream that runs all the way across the yard causing many challenges) they brainstormed until they found a great solution.
