We stopped by Süss Cookie last week and bought several cookies. I'm suspicious of the "glowing" five-star reviews because the cookies were underwhelming. Both the Peanut Butter and Gingersnap cookies were dry and didn't seem fresh. The Sugar Cookie was OK but didn't seem sweet enough. The Coconut Joy was the best cookie we tried, but it wasn't compelling enough to rate this bakery higher. It cost me $14 for four cookies, or $3.50 each, which seemed expensive considering the quality of the cookies. read more

I got a cowboy cookie and it was really good! Not too sweet and a good balance of flavors. The service was fast and friendly and there is plenty of parking. The cookie might seem a bit pricey but I think it was worth the quality. read more

Cute little shop beside Provo beach resort. Delicious variety of flavors and the cookies were perfect for texture and taste. We ordered 6 diff ones and loved that they were packaged standing up. Hard to pick favorites maybe the chocolate dipped caramel, pumpkin Nutella and peanut butter but honestly we enjoyed them all. Cute little shop with beautiful cookies. They have them all on display for you to see behind a glass window, making it easy to pick out your favorite mouth-watering cookie. They have a sign that says they have ice cream but they said they actually haven't for a while because they are looking for a new vendor. I felt a little deceived but at least the cookie was delicious on its own! It had slightly crispy edges with a soft center. I appreciated the lemon zest sprinkled on the top. read more

I'm always a fan of any place that gives you free samples! Every time I go in they let me sample as many cookie flavors as I want. My favorites are the birthday cake and the cocamel. But really I don't think you can go wrong here! If you want warm cookies, just ask. They will warm them up for before you leave. They also carry pints of Rockwell ice cream so you can get warm cookies and the best ice cream in Utah at one place! read more

There are so many delicious cookie shops popping up in Utah County, and Süss is just as good as any of them. What made Süss shine for me was their friendliness. They were willing to give us generously sized samples prior to selecting our choices. It made the cookie buying process easy and oh so tasty. I will say that if you want your cookie warmed up it will take a lot longer than you'd expect (5+ minutes) so plan on that. read more

Small little shop tucked back into the Riverwoods Mall. Didn't even know if was here, until we were going next door to Provo Beach Resort. My friend every year at Swiss Days talks and post about these cookies. So naturally I had to try one. I had the coconut joy. I'm a sucker for a cookie dipped in chocolate. It had almonds, chocolate chips and shredded coconut inside. But the chocolate on the outside made it for me. I tried the cookie of the month. The scotcharoo it was also really good and soft but the dipped cookie got me. My only suggestion would be to offer to warm it up. I still had 3/4 of it left when I got home, shocker. It was so much better warm! But great service. read more

There's a lot of cookie competition in Utah, but Süss cookie stands apart. While I can't speak for all the cookies at Suss (because I haven't tried them all), I can 100% recommend the Cocamel cookie. It's a freshly made shortbread cookie with caramel, chocolate and coconut and it's freaking delicious. Every aspect of this cookie is perfect. This is a small small store of the Süss cookies in Midway, and oh my word. Forget Chip, forget Crumbl, forget any of the other mediocre and greasy and slightly disappointing cookies and try these. They have a variety of flavors and they are all very good. The root beer float doesn't taste artificial like you kinda expect. The lemon cookie is HEAVEN, the gingerbread cookie is AMAZING. It was AMAZING. You walk in, the people are so welcoming. Then they offer you UNLIMITED samples. We're not talking tiny chunks either. We're talking cookies cut into pizza-like slices. And the workers encouraged it!! I was so excited when I heard they were building a location in Provo. GO HERE. Cookies are always so good. The staff was really kind and helpful however the cookies had a really bitter baking soda after taste. Not worth the money unfortunately but you can certainly still keep the taste in your mouth for a long time afterward. I was hoping it would be better! Bummer!! Like many other recent reviewers, a friend shipped my girlfriend and I a box during quarantine. We'd never heard of the company before, but a quick Google search turned up their excellent reviews and we were very excited to enjoy them. The only problem? The cookies come in individual air-sealed packages and after our first bite it was incredibly obvious that they were intended to be heated up before eating (they weren't rock hard, but close to it). The box didn't come with any sort of instructions, so my girlfriend hopped online and spent two hours searching for reheating instructions (on their website, their Facebook page, their instagram page, their Yelp, and TripAdvisor, and Facebook reviews, random articles and blogposts written about their company) but came up empty handed. We finally tried microwaving them and did not have good results. They went from being hard to warm-but-still-pretty -hard to burned without ever hitting the "warm and gooey" stage that's the natural state of homemade cookies fresh out of the oven (and undoubtedly the natural state of these cookies were you to buy them on-site at the store). We then tried microwaving another cookie at a lower heat setting, but had similar results. The next day I sepnt another hour trying to find reheating instructions online, but also came up empty-handed. We finally tried warming them up in the oven and had better results, but they still weren't great. Again, they never came close to achieving the "fresh cookies straight out of the oven" feeling." My friend who ordered the cookies for us said that she thought that they were supposed to come with reheating instructions. Maybe they were supposed to be ours didn't, and at any rate why the hell a company whose entire business revolves around shipping cookies to customers that are specifically intended to be reheated wouldn't have these instructions readily available on their website is truly beyond me. I guess anyone whose order doesn't come with the instructions or anyone who loses them (something I imagine is probably not entirely unheard of) is just plain out of luck. Maybe there really is a very specific way of reheating them that simply eluded us, that when done correctly makes them turn out *just right* but I think there's also a real possibility that this is just another one of those local dessert companies whose cult-following owes more to media hype and a desire to support local businesses than actually being that great (*cough* *cough* Voodoo Doughnuts). read more

This cookie place stands out from the rest. When I go and purchase cookies I want to feel like I'm purchasing something that I'm not going to make at home either because they have a special technique to make the cookie or use special ingredients that I don't use. Many other cookie company's are just oversized and I feel like I can make them at home. Suss cookies though taste and look special. I especially love their lemon and Cocamel cookies. To make a long story short, we had an unpleasant experience at this location after them having no record of 2 separate online cookie order that me and my mother had placed and then they were out of a lot of what we ordered. So after a 1.5 hour drive to pickup our orders, we left with half fulfilled orders and sad faces. After sending an email reporting our experience, we have been nothing but pleased with the way management handled the situation. We got an apology email and an apology call which was so appreciated. They ended up shipping us our original orders for free on top of the cookies we got in store. Their customer service is out of this world. I'm so happy they reached out to us to fix the problem. It really made an impression on us that they went out of their way to fix the mistake when they easily could have just ignored it. Not to mention their Cocamel cookie is heaven on earth and I'm convinced there is not a better cookie on the planet. We love Suss cookies and will be back for more! read more
