The salmon/baked chèvre/lemon/honey salad I had on our first visit was so tasty, we came back within a week and both ordered it. The salads are pricy at 165kr. But each one comes with plenty of bread, mineral water, a coffee (normally 30kr!), and a choice of one of their fancy dressings. We loved the "herb aioli" and "garlic" dressings. I might have put the salad dressing on my bread by accident, but I can tell you it was tasty there too. Heads up, they won't let you upgrade the coffee to another drink, but nbd. Aside from salads, we tried two custards and a latte that were amazing. Atmosphere-wise, Güntherska is that old classy-casual style that's popular with fika spots. Like striped wallpaper and ornate lighting fixtures. It's also a popular "seat yourself" place. They request that you find a seat before you order. It can be tricky, but it's worth it. There's more seating in the back, and even more in the outdoor courtyard in the back. We've had such good experiences here, it's hard to try other places!

It is too bad that it's far away from Stockholm but it's worth the visit.    I have three complaints though. 1. A lot of dessers have nuts in them (I'm allergic), 2. There are not many desserts with berries such as blueberry or strawberry pies which you would expect in a such places, and 3. The quiches (they call them "pies" also) got much smaller but the price stayed the same since 7 years ago (or perhaps they raise the price. I don't remember exactly how much they were). You can see in my photos that they look like someone whipped up leftovers to make a meal. We were still hungry after that. Americans are used to pastries that are sweet, a strong presence of cinnamon, and so on. Swedish pastries are more subtle, use much less sugar, and more spices. If you know this going in, it's easier to be appreciative.
