Decent options for drink and standard ballpark food options. Easy in and out of the venue. It's a nice option for an outing.

Elmira Pioneers Baseball - Box seats close to the field

    Elmira Pioneers Baseball

This is one of the coolest baseball fields outside of a major league stadium I've ever been to…read more I watched the Newark Pilots take on the Elmira Pioneers and my son was here playing for the Pilots. The box seats were inexpensive for the game and that put me closer to the action on the field. I met the team owner while I was buying a hotdog and hamburger and she was very friendly. I can see why the environment was so fun. There is not a lot to do in Elmira, but if there is a game, I highly recommend you to go!

Play ball, Elmira! It's easy to see that the Pioneers are a big draw on summer nights. What's nice…read moreto see is that the experience is similar to how the team must have been during Elmira's single-A days, and how the team is still a priority for Elmira. Previously a short season single-A team, the Pioneers are currently a summer collegiate baseball league. (Many of the teams in the college league are former pro teams.) Dunn Field is the home of the team, and still has some signs of being a former professional team. The stadium is well maintained, and there is plenty of activity. When I was there, the team had a baseball card promotion, the idea being that your current Pioneers might be tomorrow's superstars. Truthfully, you never know, but the Pioneers aren't in a league full of future superstars, and it can show during the game itself. The experience is similar to what you'd see at a minor league game, just on a smaller level. When I was there, you had live music in one corner, the baseball card promotion in another, and your usual between innings entertainment, featuring the Pioneers mascot and kid friendly activities. The game itself wasn't too exciting, but I also wasn't paying a ton of attention. It's a decent ballgame for a night, but keep in mind that although single-A and collegiate ball are similar, there's definitely a difference in quality. Out of all the collegiate teams I've seen, Elmira has the most potential to one day become a single-A team once again, though I wouldn't count on it. Going to a Pioneers game is a nice experience, but younger kids will appreciate it more than older kids. It's nice to see the community turn out to support the ballplayers of tomorrow.

    Buffalo Bills Training Camp

No…read moreparking on campus, you can park at one of the pittsford high schools and take the shuttle buses over ( cost $1) or park in someone's lawn near by for around $10. We took the bus. Fast ride. Arriving at St John Fisher we were dropped off right at the entrance, a quick scan of your ticket and we were in. Lots of kids games and a few vender booths. Meet Billy the Buffalo, very popular. Bills practice on the main field, follow the crowd. Lots of seats in the bleachers, otherwise stand along the fence. Lots of action going on, they ran multiple plays at once. Crowd was super loud and supportive of their team. Players were great acknowledging the fans. My nephew is a big fan and was so excited to hear that two running backs were signing autographs at the tent. We got there early because they cut of the number for signatures. Only kids 14 and under are allowed to get autographs, separate line for parents to take pictures. He was on cloud 9 meeting Devin Singletary and Zack moss. They were both so great with the kids,

Do you like being stepped on while trying to get the signatures of the Buffalo Bills and hobbling to the bus? If so you'll love this! This place is awful. Even if you enjoy sports and the Bills you will be very bored. If you want to get something signed be willing to fight your way to the front of a barricade and risk injury. And if your over the age of 21 don't expect to get anything signed even if you are up front as some players will only sign kids items. The stuff out front was fun especially the air brush makeup. I just can't recommend this place to anyone even massive Bills fans.
