Had to get tracking done and asked if they could identify what the knocking noise could be on my…read morecar which was to do with the front suspension, they have checked and noticed a part which was on its way out that another mechanic didn't identify. Got booked in a week later, on the day after changing the parts the noise has indeed reduced! But there was something else causing the clunking noise.. they gladly invited me to come back around a few hours later after i called in. We did a test drive with one of the mechanics who was very helpful; he has lifted up the car again and checked through again and has found that the previous mechanic didn't tighten the droplinks correctly. He has tightened them correctly and long behold the noise was completely gone! No extra charge and a lot of peace of mind!! Would recommend!

This is my second time dealing with Sweeneys Garage on Bridgefoot st. Their treatment of me is exceptional. Ash assessed my problem , and offered to drop me home while the car was repaired. This in itself was incredibly kind. Before he did so he tried something , and fixed it completely , within minutes....and get this, no charge! I actually cried. It is hard moving through this world with a disability, but kindness like this is rare and valuable. I will be recommending Sweeneys garage to all. I finally have a garage I can trust! "HOW MUCH!??????????" Ok, I didn't have to yell... nor indeed did I have to break down in tears…read moreafterwards... a strange, short, fat, balding, red-faced and blubbering 35 year old man shocked to the very core of his being at being told that a replacement mirror plus housing for the passenger door of his Volvo is going to cost 500Euro from the Volvo dealership. (yeah, I know... never go to the dealer, but this is a custom part, the wing mirror from my old micra is just not going to look right is it!?). After the tears dried up I started ringing round the scrap yards and to a man they had never heard of a Volvo S60... until I happened upon Kinsella's Car Dismantlers. I spoke to Bob, he was very curt on the phone - but I later realised this is because he spends his day on the phone to people like me "I... er... em ...kind of need a bit for a nineteen sixty doodle ford piebald in ultra maroon if you've got it...."... the man is a saint. They had the mirror - all in - 50 Euro and when it came to collecting it they went out of their way to make sure there'd be someone there (I was calling late on a Saturday afternoon) - they close at 4 by the way, worth noting. I cant praise nor thank the guys enough, they are friendly, helpful and not at all expensive - even when they KNOW that they have something you need and no one else has it... which I think is tremendous.

I was directed to the car in the yard but the bumper was missing, which is where he marker is. I eventually found the bumper after I was screamed at like a bold child by the staff. They didn't have my part which was fine. However their customer service skills leave something to be desired. Won't be going back again. Just because you work with a pile of crap doesn't mean you should treat people the same way.
