Assisted Living Locators of Greater Cincinnati

It's been definitely real and all ive expected I love to be able to continue doing business here…read morecause I feel they are fair although I was caught off guard and with low prices I'm also in the position to accept their product knowing without looking that it's gonna be what's expected and worth the possible outcome than shopping anywhere else and hoping my family will enjoy as well In the future

By Tuesday of the following week David Flautt had arranged for us to tour some great facilities he had identified using the information I'd shared. Having him with us on the tours helped us feel confident we were asking all the right questions. With David's expert help we were able to find the perfect place in record time. David not only helped us to explore the best available options based on our needs he also provided invaluable information about things we needed to keep in mind as we went through the process of choosing a place and how to make it happen. We learned that some of the things we had been worried about were not really issues. He made us aware of things we had not even thought about that we needed to know. Now only a month later, my mom is happily getting settled into her perfect new home. I can't say enough good things about David and about Assisted Living Locators.

Senior Helpers - Dementia Care

If this group could get 100 stars on this site, that still wouldn't be enough. We were given…read moreSenior Helper's name by a group that helps find caregivers, assisted living facilities and nursing homes. Our quite elderly mother was in need of home care. In reaching out to Senior Helpers, they were immediately responsive to our needs. They came to Mom's home, checked things out, talked with her and then called to say they were on board with helping us. All of Mom's children are out of state and so it was important to have people we could trust that were there and close to Mom. There were a few hiccups the second week. Senior Helpers were at Mom's home the next day, addressed any issues and assured us that there wouldn't be any more problems, and they were right. Now to the amazing part. Mom became terminal pretty quickly and Hospice was called in. It was determined that someone needed to be with Mom 24/7. A family member was there with Mom by that time but had to leave to go home, out of state. There would be a lapse of 36 hours before a family member would be with Mom again. So what does Senior Helpers offer up? They will stay overnight and all day with Mom until another family member arrives. This was done on 2 days notice. When asking them if they were able to find someone to stay overnight with Mom, the woman that answered the phone (Kim) said that if they didn't have any caregivers available, SHE WOULD COME AND STAY OVERNIGHT WITH MOM! Who, in this day and age, does that? In a time of high stress for us, these people were amazing. I would highly recommend this group to anyone. Nothing/no one is perfect but they come pretty darn close.

If your loved one needs more care than simply sitting in front of the television all day, do not…read morecall Senior Helpers. Their claim of being "experts in Alzheimer's and dementia care" is one of the biggest jokes in recent history. Alz/Dem patients need consistency and routine. Senior Helpers meets this need with a rotating door of caregivers. Plus, their ever-dwindling staff is just the right size to provide no back-up options in case your caregiver calls off sick. Alz/Dem patients need constant attention and interaction. Senior Helpers more than meets this need with its extensive library of ambient videos of fish and other animals. Your loved one will get all of the love and attention he or she needs with constant reminders from the caregiver to "Watch the video" or "Look at the cute little kitten." Alz/Dem patients need assistance with most of the basic daily tasks. A seasoned Senior Helpers caregiver will always make sure your loved one goes to the bathroom unless he or she resists in any way. Then, you'll come home to soiled pants and other dirty laundry. Alz/Dem patients need to take medication daily. Count on Senior Helpers to assist with this task until your loved one experiences any level of trouble with it. Then, you will be told that any task involving medication requires medical training, which Senior Helpers does not provide. So, what does Senior Helpers provide? If you're looking for a caregiver who's the equivalent of a car pool dummy, then I suggest you give them a call.

Lynd Place

First of all, the name of the establishment is now Lynd Place. Not sure when they changed the name,…read morebut it has been that way for a few years. My wife moved her parents to Lynd Place after searching for facilities in Columbus, OH, which is where they lived at the time. The only places she found that might have been acceptable were way out of their price range. The main reasons for moving my wife's parents here were the price (of course), the rural-like setting, access to transportation, and the cleanliness and general appearance of the facility. They have been here over 2 years. It was a difficult adjustment. My wife and her sister forbade their father from driving and their mother was still recovering from a stroke. But in the time they have been here, they have been taken care of well, and the few emergencies that have occurred were handled as expertly as one could hope. Because of this experience with my in-laws, my brothers and I decided to move my mom here. She had a period of adjustment but is doing well. Lynd Place has regular conversations with the residents to try to improve things. There have been many changes in the 2 years we have known about them. They have weekly shopping trips and weekly trips to eat out. There are many activities in the facility. I will admit that the food is not gourmet, and the activities are less than at some high-end facilities. But our parents could not afford those things and, for their money, they get quite a lot. They are doing well and are well cared for, which is why we had them move there.

He also had a leg ulcer that continuously oozed discharge and odor. He was in desperate need of Podiatry care as well. My dad also told me the Director here opened a bank account with him. He had no idea what he signed when this occurred at his Credit Union. Some would call this Financial Abuse of the Elderly. He repeatedly asked to see a doctor....not just the "Nurse Practitioner" that supposedly comes on Thursdays. My dad died at the hospital. Lynd House is part of Assisted Living Concepts. Check the Internet and you will see some stories of how this company evicted elderly residents because they had to be on Medicaid. Please do not put your loved one here....it only LOOKS nice from the outside.

Then they have to scrounge and scour for information that SHOULD BE AT THEIR FINGERTIPS. For OVER A YEAR I had been dealing with this. Each time I ended up talking to multiple representatives, and ultimately the people in resupply had to tell them I was eligible and for what. HOURS OF MY LIFE HAVE BEEN WASTED DOING THEIR JOB FOR THEM. I have talked to their Complaint Department multiple times, my provider spoke to their 'Dasco Representative' TWICE explaining the issue, to NO EFFECT. I have submitted a formal complaint to insurance so they can deal with them. I found a new supply provider. This company? SUCKS. Plain and simple. I don't know what their problem is, but it IS NOT MINE ANY MORE! ZERO STARS!

I now need an oxygen concentrator because I have to go to a hospital an hour and a half away but dasco is fighting with me over a concentrator. Imo, anything associated with Reid hospital is a joke, Reid has become a glorified urgent care with no specialists anymore. Sorry about the long review but imo you'd be better off picking a different oxygen company other than Dasco, who argues with sick patients who need their services? And you may want to pick another Hospital other than Reid especially if you have chronic illnesses. Good luck to all of you.
