Short story: I had emergency back surgery on 4/2/24 and other than a follow up appointment with surgeon to ensure I was healing properly I didn't have any maintenance appointments, i.e. occupational therapy, physical therapy, etc. I was in a great deal of pain so I did a lot of research and found Dr. Dilo (thank God!!!)! My friend Blanca recommended that I try this place out After months of severe back pain from standing, walking, laying down ..pretty much anything I decided to invest in myself. I was at the point where I could not lift my legs up, struggled to get up from doing sit ups or laying down, had a lot of pain on my feet in the morning.... and huge ball like shapes on my neck.... For those of you want a quick review: i have really bad back issues. L2-S1. Yes, that's four levels. Dr. Dilo is very passionate about what he does. He treated and still treats me while other chiropractors refuse to touch me due to liability. 5 stars. Really great. Go see him. For those of you who are looking for a more detailed review: Due to my job as an Ocean Lifeguard Ive put my body through hell and back. Many injuries including 1 back surgery(going in for second back surgery soon). Ive had a Microdiscectomy done in 2002 at L5/S1. And now, im going in for double fusion at L4-S1. I also have issues at L2/L3 and L3/L4(opting out of getting those worked on since Im only 39 years old). My other option was a 4 level surgery(double fusion/double disk replacement).2nd option would most likely put me in disability for the rest of my life. Up to this point, ive been working on non-surgical treatments hoping something would work. But I and my doctors have come to the conclusion that nothing but surgery will help me get back some sort of good quality of life. But during this process, i met Dr. Dilo. He was the one chiropractor out of ALL the well rated chiropractors that actually decided to take me on and give me treatment. I am very lucky to have found Dr. Dilo. Dr. Dilo is a very kind and honest person who I believe is in this world to help people. He is a visual learner and WILL help you to fully grasp and see what your issue is. He takes his time and likes to get on a personal level, which I tend to like and feel more comfortable with. With that being said, expect him to be a bit late on meeting your appointment time. But I promise the wait isnt bad at all compared to other docs. Also, He has always been accommodating even when I call him out of the blue with lots of pain. I've been seeing Dr. Dilo on and off for 3 years. I'm a dental hygienist so I suffer from back pain, neck pain, and sometimes hand pain. I love,love,love Dr Dilo. As a dental hygienist I've have chronic back pain for the past 28 years. I've been going to another chiropractor for all these years but Dr Dilo is by far better. The other chiropractor just twisted and cracked me. Last summer I got shingles which resulted in nerve damage in my back so I've been seeing him regularly since Jan and I feel better than I have in years. He explains everything he does. After getting treated by over 30 chiropractors I developed a negative attitude towards chiropractic treatment in general. Then I read some very positive reviews about Dr Dilo and decided to give him a try. On my first visit he adjusted my neck and then kept checking my neck, while commenting that it wasn't quite right yet. He adjusted it a total of five times on different sides on my neck, from different angles and positions until he was satisfied the alignment had been completely corrected. When I got of the table I felt as though a big weight had been lifted off of me, and for the first time in over 30 years the pain in my neck was gone. The reviews were true, there is something different about him. He spends the time and does what it takes to make it right. I have never experienced this before from any other chiropractor. One of my previous chiropractors even mumbled the words "that's good enough".... Not really what you want to hear when your not functioning and suffering in pain. Going to Dr Dilo has changed my life. Before getting treatment I had frequent migraines, a minimum of a few a week. In fact I went a period of two months where I had a migraine every day. I was not functioning at all on any level and suffering everyday. Since getting treatment from Dr Dilo my headaches have improved dramatically. I doubt my neck and body will ever be completely healed, but getting treatment on a regular basis definitely helps, and minimizes all my symptoms. Dr. Dilio has done it again!! I should start by saying that in years past, I have been to other chiropractors in search of relief for chronic pain in both my neck and back, only to be given temporary relief from my ailments and a prognosis that my problems would require a life long regimen of returned visits on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. I was finally at my wit's end with a serious neck and shoulder problem that had continued to deteriorate. I had been to other chiropractors and massage therapists hoping for some long term relief but to no avail. I was having lunch with a friend of mine and he noticed I could barely move my neck. He went on to tell me about some issues he had with his back and highly recommended Dr. Dilio. He explained to me that he had been through the same nonsense with chiropractors and massage therapists as well and swore up and down that Dr. Dilio had "healed" him. I was sceptical to say the least but desperation drove to his office. From the moment I met him I had a good feeling about him. It appeared that he genuinely cared and that he was truly concerned. He thoroughly explained what he believed my problem to be and proceeded with his treatment. I was astounded!! In my previous years of searching, I had NEVER experienced this kind of relief. He completely alleviated my pain. NO JOKE! However, my next thought was, how often will he recommend I return in order to maintain this relief? Once a week? Twice a week or more; for life? Nope. He recommend I come back over the next few weeks or so to establish what he had done and after that, just pay attention to my body and see how I feel. Chiropractor works! I've seen Dr. Dilo since 2015. At times, I've come in with severe pain for instance after giving birth, when my back or my Ischias hurt. It has never taken more than one session to realign what's out of balance and I tell you that Dr. Dilo's adjustments work magically. When he cracks my neck I feel an incredible release and after the adjustments the energy flows again through my whole system. The shift is tremendous. I think it's smart to come to Dr. Dilo for regular "maintenance" to prevent things from getting really bad. I have had lower back issues for as long as I can remember. As a teen, I visited different doctors and chiropractors and none of them were able to assess what the issue was. So, I just went through life being super protective of my back and accepted it as something I just had to live with. Then, several years ago, I met Dr. Dilo. Dr. Dilo is warm, friendly, and very dedicated to his profession. Moreover, he is very knowledgeable and takes the time to educate me on what is going on with my body. I really appreciate this about him because it helps me better maintain my body between visits. In the past few years, I've taken up cycling (road and mountain). With that comes regular wear and tear and, unfortunately, occasional spills. Inevitably, my body comes out of alignment and I'm in pain. Dr. Dilo is great. I started seeing him after my first microdiscectomy surgery that failed after six weeks. I now have a 15 mm herniation in my L4L5 disc. He has been able to reduce and now eliminate my daily pain. I only wish I had seen him before my first disc herniation.
