Got back from vacation in the pouring rain and driver asked if we wanted a ride. We accepted and he was very personable during the ride which was less than 10 minutes. He also got out of the cab in the rain to help us with our bags. Couldn't ask for anything better than that. Haven't taken a cab in about 20 years, but we were very happy with the service. Not sure that all drivers are the same, but ours was great. The driver was in his 50's and on the chubby side. read more

This company quoted the fare from the Middletown train station to my home in Wurtsboro at $30 then when we arrived I was prepared to tip him when he said the fare was $45. He tried to tell Me we're not in Wurtsboro although it's the the town I live in. Not an honest business. This cab company is by far the worst I have ever dealt with let's just talk about this morning not even the other numerous disappointments I called them at 5 for the bus I have to get at 520 or 530 they said ok no one showed so at that time when I realized I wasn't making my bus I let them know an hour before now because the bus is at 640 and 645 so I asked for that cab at 530 now it's 645 and the cab still didn't show up this base is the worst I do not recommend when you have to go to work to rely on them at all . Although it's one of the very few cab bases out here use Uber and or Lyft I normally do all the time but sometimes you can't get an Uber/lyft before 6 . Mind you through all of this the dispatchers are saying the cab is on its way. Also they do not clean their cabs out at all. read more

The worst of the worst. All they know how to do is blow their horns at 5:00 AM. They wake everyone up and don't care. I've been standing right inside the front door and saw the cab coming but they blow the horn before they even get to the front door! That may be the way they do it in India or Pakistan but not in the USA! I live in a Senior complex that houses 100 apartments. Many are disabled and cannot walk that fast and it's a long walk to the front door. You ask for a certain pick-up time but they won't give that to you! They never tell you exactly when they're coming - they give you a range of time. They expect you to be right there to get into that cab when it comes. Each driver has a cell phone. If the person isn't there - call them to come down instead of disturbing everyone! The female who answers their phones is as nasty a creature as I've ever come across and their drivers can't find their way in or out of a paper bag. I used them twice and twice they messed up the call. They don't know the front of a building from the rear and when you tell them you're at the rear entrance, they don't even check it, they just drive away! My rating is minus 10. read more

This seems to be the most popular go to taxi company in Middletown. Everytime I take a ride in a cab of theirs, they seem to be concerned with picking up other passengers along the way. It sux that sometimes the passenger gets dropped off before me. I'm paying the same amount of money as the other passenger I expect top priority since I entered the cab 1st and am paying for my fare. Their prices aren't overpriced like they are in NYC. Overall they are alright. read more

Was so glad we found them! My husband and I were stuck in the area when our car lost the motor. After a long frustrating day with another cab company I stumbled upon Syndicate Taxi. We requested a ride to a bus station 40 miles away and were told no problem. We were so happy with the friendliness of the driver. He helped us find a closer bus station to get home. To start, you received the 1 star because they force you to give at least that. You do not deserve that 1 star. You do not deserve to even be in business. The person that answers your phone needs lessons in proper phone etiquette. She is rude and very unprofessional. I dare say she is either a relative of the boss or sleeping with the boss which is why she still has a job. I called this cab service and spoke to her 4 times and was told 20 minutes on 3 occasions and told the cab is o. The way on the fourth occasion. After doing some googling, it seems Governor Hochul did not lift the mask mandate for taxies and car services. Republican Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus has refused to enforce the state mandates. If the news is correct, businesses-like Syndicate Taxi are taking advantage of the lack of enforcement to maximize profits. When you ask them not to send a car full of people because you are high risk, they ignore your request. Despite your pleas, they go on to pick up other people despite your stop being a short distance away. Some of the drivers are flat out refusing to wear a mask when you ask them politely. I've been in cars where some of the seat belts don't work, and there are apparent mechanical problems; the drivers snap back at you that they don't care when you tell them they might want to tell their manager. Except for a few seasoned drivers, they are all around rude. I tip even despite the bad service, so they mostly don't even say thank you. There is an Uber and Lyft shortage on weekends, so you get stuck having to call one of the two available taxi companies. The taxi driver did not understand basic English and could not enter the address I gave him into a GPS, despite the fact that I wrote the address down for him and said the address numerous times. He kept insisting that I send him a text of the address. In addition, he refused to follow my verbal instructions and took a longer route. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. I would give them 0 stars if I could. The drivers are obnoxious. They lay on the horn in my neighborhood impatiently waiting for their fares during the early morning and late at night. They also drive very aggressively around town. One time I called to complain to the manager and he hung up on me. My recommendation is to use their competitor, White Cab, at 845-343-5555. I unfortunately use this taxi because it is literally one of two available in the Middletown area but I call this company all the time to ride to work (which is 7min from my apartment). I call these guys almost every day and I always tip the driver even when they don't deserve squat, and constantly am met with rude and disgraceful dispatchers!!! The lady during the day which I think might have recently changed was literally the nastiest person as far as customer service goes and the guy at night is either trying to talk his way into a date with me or just blatantly exclaiming "no taxis now" and hanging up the phone!!! This guys hangs up on people all the time at the looks of it. Their customer service is the absolute worst and they are unbelievably nasty to a customer who calls all the time and is a regular! How do you just hang the phone on your good customers like that? No fucks given??? That just makes absolutely no sense to me. Dear Syndicate Eight Three Hundred Taxi, I have been using your taxi service for a long time now, I could bear that the driver picking up others on my way to work, I could bear that your driver comes a little late, I could bear that the person who picked up the phone had attitudes. HOWEVER, what happened this morning was NOT okay. I told my girlfriend to take your taxi because I trusted your service, and here is what turned out: One of your drivers (a guys with a turban) did not look when changing the lanes and made a sharp turn to exit, almost got hit in the back. That turn was so sharp that my girlfriend had to hold on to the door handle really tight. Now she is scared about your taxi service. I really do not know what to say. This was the most unsafe / worst car service experience I have ever had. I was picked up with three friends for a 15 minute ride. To start, the driver handed our friend in the passenger seat his phone for her to enter a destination in his GPS. then, he took off before all of us were even buckled in. There was no seatbelt available for the middle backseat. When I asked where the seatbelt was, the driver didn't respond. He proceeded to speed over 65 down narrow residential streets, slamming on his breaks to whip around turns. I asked him to slow down multiple times, to which he did not respond either. At one point there were deer standing in the street and he did not even slow down until we shouted. He drove past our destination and was unable to work his own GPS. This was the most horrible experience I have had in a vehicle. I would not recommend this company to anyone, nor do I understand how they are even in business. read more

Which is the exact reason why i called early in the first place. Then the driver and her "partner" were so distracted while driving i genuinely considered telling them to pull over and let me walk.
