I remembered that Tyler told me that Selena is the piercer that works here. So as I headed out for the day, I stopped in to say hi to everyone. I got to say hello to Tyler and officially meet Selena! Everyone was kicked back and it was so chill in there. Great vibe! I wanted to give them a little business, so I purchased a new nose ring and tongue ring. She pulled out the jewelery and after selecting what I wanted, she sanitized the chair and jewelry. Brought me in and started pushing the jewelery into my nose. After being out for a few days, it needed to be pierced again. OUCH! Selena had to grab the piercing needle (I forgot the word she used for it) and push it through. Then, she had to push the jewelery through. It was rougher this time because I had scar tissue in there. She also put my tongue ring in for me and made sure it was on there nice and tight. She took good care of me, spayed my nose with saline to keep the area clean. I really love the vibe when I walk in here. Am I weird or is there something soothing about the sound of the tattoo gun working? I'm looking forward to when I am ready to get my next piercing because I will be coming back here to see Selena!

She made three attempts with the same needle to pierce my navel, and with too shallow placement at that. After it went through it was gushing blood and she then proceeded to pull the needle back out and then stick the jewelry in. She then tried to pierce my nose and again couldn't make it through, and left the needle half way through my nose to to grab the jewelry. I cried and told her to stop because it was excruciatingly painful, she then offered to give me the jewelry, and try to stick it in by myself at home. To top it off she charged me about $70, and said she was sorry I was in pain. I later went to a professional piercer and she pierced my nose in less than a second with no pain at all. Deena is in no way qualified to pierce.

Made an appointment for my daughter and her sister to get their ear pierced on Saturday for my…read moredaughter's birthday. The girls were both excited and nervous to get pierced for the first time. Because the girls were so nervous, we had used some numbing cream on the girls ears, however when we got there, they turned us away to reschedule the appointment due to the numbing cream. They wouldn't even let us come back later that day for it. The whole interaction regarding having the reschedule bc of the numbing cream was a little off putting. However we did reschedule the appointment for the next day. We had to wait over 30 minutes after our appointment time which has pretty nerve wracking for little girls nervous to get their first piercing. The piercing experience was ok. The reason we chose AuAdore was so that the girls could get pierced in a private room and not in the middle of the mall. However, make sure to ask for a breakdown of the cost afterwards bc I had no idea it was going to be as expensive as it was. Normally I wouldn't necessarily expect this however due to the huge cost difference between their establishment and other locations in the mall, I think they should provide pricing info beforehand. You have to purchase the jewelry there, so with one pair of stud earrings and the piercing, it came to $200 per kid! I walked away after spending over $400 on these kids, when I could have gotten free piercing at Clair's. Also, at the end of the appointment they inform us that we "have" to come back for a follow up appointment in order to gauge down the earrings. Oh yea, that appointment also costs money. Needless to say, we didn't do that and had a sour taste in our mouth about the whole experience. I know there is a proper way to care for piercings, however the communication about how pressing it is for us to buy certain saline and everything felt like pressure vs information. I wouldn't recommend.

I am so sorry I forgot your name. But you're great! Courtney who was my piercer is an absolute GEM! (Get it?) She was so gentle and friendly. I got my conch pierced with a beautiful piece of jewelry. Courtney took care of me and made sure I was okay through the whole process and how to breathe while the needle went through. This is by far the best piercing I have ever had, and I have 12. It healed perfectly with no issues. I can sleep on it, wash my hair, talk on the phone for work, wear ear buds without it hurting since day 1. It's literally the perfect spot for an earring! Went back in today (about 8 weeks later as recommended) to get a shorter stud put in (extra cost) because the original post is longer to aid in healing and swelling process. They give you the original stud in case you want to reuse it for another piercing later which saves you $20 next time! Sweet! I will say this was definitely an expensive piercing, however knowing you're in a clean environment, in good hands and that the jewelry is hand made is pretty worth it. It's neat to know that the owner makes a lot of the jewelry there. They are beautiful. Note: don't touch or take your jewelry out in the store, they have signs in there to keep their environment sterile for the people getting piercings. Smart and thoughtful! Cant wait to go back!! PLEASE be cautious and ask as many questions as possible. They have potential to be good because of the low price but were not upfront about what they were doing. The staff was kind and patient to me although my sisters piercer was curt and a bit unhelpful. They definitely need to upgrade their jewelry and/or switch to internally threaded flat backs.

For aftercare, they recommended the Studex Advanced 2 in 1 Piercing Aftercare and Cleanser. We were given very simple instructions, just spray 2x a day to the front and back of each piercing and dab with a paper towel! No twisting, turning or use of cotton squabs, otherwise it will delay healing. Just leave the earring alone for 6 weeks before replacing with new ones! Much better than when I had mine pierced at a previous place years back, explains why they got infected each time!
