Went in for a cover up and told them I need something for this and they had a lot of ideas and the price just kept getting higher but I said yeah I don't care I need to get this fixed gave me the run around and told me to look at a book. at one point one of the guys said to the other look at this shit...... one guy said yeah this guy can do it or this guy can. I said so how do we set this up and there was no response. pretty much left feeling defeated and wonder about artist now and days how they have no vision and can't come up with nothing always just trying to copy tattoo after tattoo. this is the second time I have been to this shop and not for the same thing and all I got was the run around. I've gotten ink from a half dozen places over the years and I'll tell you that Robert is one of the best to work with. I've gone to him a couple of times and will for sure go again. 1. Talk to him before hand when you make your appointment and show him the art work. You'll get a fair estimate on price as well as the amount of time it'll take. 2. When you arrive for your appointment, he's on time and ready. I mean he's already started to prep his tray (so you're not sitting around for the requisite 30-45 minutes while he gets out the ink, puts down the paper and Saran Wrap, etc 3. He knows what he's doing. Yes, I understand that at this point, we're all only going to artists that know what they're doing....but again, after going to many shops over the years, he is right up there with anybody I've sat for in Vegas or NY. 4. The final product is fantastic. It doesn't matter if its just a simple B/W or an intricate color piece, I've been there for his work first hand and he's above anything else you're going to get locally. On a side note, I was there when he was with some first timers. I could see his "bedside manner" and it was fantastic. Ok so he's either the owner or the manager the dude with long grey hair and beard. He's an asshole to me as a brand new customer. I rang the door bell to make an appointment, he answered the door and was snapping at me for not using the back door instead! Seriously? To a brand new customer? Then when I returned for my appointment weeks later he did it again! The artist did good work but he text me after doing some nice work for me and asked me questions about the Corona Virus. This was my first tattoo experience. I walked in on a Wednesday and ended talking to a hispanic-looking guy with gauges, I think his name was Chris. I talked with him to find out info and eventually I was giving him an idea of what i wanted. Came back on Friday, and he has a drawing ready for me. It was awesome! It was as though he drafted the picture directly from my mind, and my description didn't do him justice. 2 hours layer I walked out with my first tattoo, and a feeling of complete and total satisfaction. Love the shop and atmosphere. Dislike how unreliable sleepy is. I have had multiple inconveniences. He never shows up for appointments and when he does he's not on time and doesn't even try to give you a call to tell you he's not coming in. I called a few days in advance to confirm my appointment as well like he asked that I do and he just didn't show up or answer his phone. I've had to drive up from sac multiple times and still don't have my work done and paid a deposit. I will be going with another artist because this isn't the first time this has happened. Also cheddar charged me $100 for a triangle that took 20 minutes on my birthday. Unreasonably priced. I do have a couple tattoos from here and I love the quality, but the stress of attempting to get it done is not worth it. There is plenty of better artists out there that won't make you want to pull out your hair. Will not ever go back here again. I've had enough. read more

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GO HERE. I went in to get a tattoo and was completely over-estimated. I was quoted $250 for a piece that I KNOW would be $120-150 elsewhere. But these guys were highest rated in town so I thought I'd give it a shot. When I compared my last piece (which was bigger and has more line work and only cost me $120 including tip) to it the shop owner Robert said "I honestly don't give a f*ck.
