I discovered late in life that I have a genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome that has caused some health complications in the past 4 years. It took most of this time to get a handle on it. I decided I wanted to memorialize my journey with my first ever tattoo. I'm not a big review writer but in this case I had to make an exception. I've been wanting a tattoo for a few years now but really wanted something meaningful to my life and not just a tattoo to have a tattoo. I had a few ideas and was open to the right artist using their creativeness to put my ideas into something I really wanted. After looking at what felt like a thousand tattoo artists instagram pages ​and just not really finding the style of tattoo I wanted (think fine line mixed with some realism) I finally went to FB to see who people were talking about. Mario's name came up consistently. Sooo I stalked his instagram and finally reached out. He was booked out for a few months but after a little back and forth he managed to squeeze me in sooner than planned. I appreciated that he took that extra time to fit me in. I came in for a consult where he drew up a design and listened to everything I was wanting. When I left that consult I was so happy and I knew I made the right choice already. The next time I saw him he did the outline. I couldn't believe that a tattoo as big as I got just didn't hurt at all. He was gentle and so precise. I almost forgot I even got a tattoo after the first day. He gave me easy clear instructions on the care of the tattoo as well. Today I went in for my last and final session. It was shading/shadowing day. I again experienced the same professionalism and gentle approach that I did from the first session. He made sure the studio was a comfortable temperature and he goes above and beyond in ensuring the studio was sterile and clean. He even got me hooked on a Netflix show to help the time go by. I left the studio today feeling so very happy with the choice I made. Not only do i now have a tattoo artist that I will use everytime but i feel like I made a new friend too.
