I just got discharged today after a two week stay at this facility. Having spent a lot of time in…read morehospitals over the past year and dealing with other rehab facilities a few years ago, I believe I can give a good review of this facility. First, the facility itself. Everything was clean and well maintained. The rehab equipment was all first class. While the food was not exactly 5 star quality, I had no complaints whatsoever. I would say that I enjoyed 99% of everything they served. There was nothing wrong with the other 1%; it just didn't please my palate. I have a good appetite, and I was satisfied with the portion sizes. Unlike other hospitals, the meals were virtually all served on time. Now, the staff. Every therapist I worked with was outstanding. These included Sarah, Dennis, Miguel, Rudy, Edwin, and Carmine. As far as the care, the vast majority were great. I missed a few of their names, but the standouts were Caroline, Karen, Chenemun (?), and Olaniyi. A few of the night staff left a bit to be desired, but the rest of the staff were outstanding. The physicians were all caring and attentive. You won't go wrong if you choose this facility for your rehab.

My Sister was in this facility for 2 weeks. Her Medicare did not cover her stay so she called and…read morehad her Medicare switched to one that would but that its would take one business day. I put down the money for her stay after being told by Daniella that I would be refunded after her Medicare kicked in. As promised Medicare began paying for her stay on the second day. She passed away 2 weeks after her stay so I was busy with arrangements and grief. I called Texas Rehab 3 weeks after her death and they told me my refund would take a while to process which I understood. It has now been 5 months and I have not gotten my refund of over $11,000 and all the people I was working with have left the company. No one seems to know anything about anything. If you decided to stay at this facility make sure about the payment arrangements before agreeing.

My mom stayed here for two weeks after a week at the hospital for her stroke…read more To my surprise the space was so clean, no rancid or foul smells. Front desk was always welcoming when we came to visit and left. My mom's road to recovery was a positive experience here with the quality of care from all of the staff - literally every single staff member she came in contact with up until the day she was discharged. They really worked with her and were there for her at every corner and I appreciated that more than anything - especially the days we couldn't be there.

I saw her at group physical therapy and the patients would just stare at her while my mom's mind was elsewhere. It broke my heart. She said the therapy was loud and it stressed her out, but he had to be because some people don't hear good, but it was loud and it echoed in the room. My mom is wheelchair bound and they told Medicare that she had walked so many feet which was enough to be discharged. They discharged her with a wound and UTI to Arbrook Plaza for nursing home care. Arbrook Plaza did not give up on my mom. Instead of nursing home they put her in the rehab side of it first and 6 weeks later instead of nursing home she got to come home with no UTI, no wound and her memory and strength is back to where she can transfer herself in and out of wheelchair to her bed or restroom and dress herself. I'm glad Encompass gave up on my mom or else she wouldn't have gone to Arbrook Plaza. Yes Arbrook Plaza is an old building but the quality is great.

Hunter Professional Therapy is truly the best clinic to have physical therapy. I'm retired…read moremilitary and we depend on our agency to refer us to the proper clinics, etc. for special health care when necessary. I am very pleased with Hunter Professional Therapy clinic. The Physical Therapy Doctor; and entire staff are the best I have received care from. They perform their duties on a high level of professionalism. They get to know the patient as a person and not just a number. This helps the person relax and follow the instructions to work the affected area. Yet they maintain the "human" qualities where they ease up when necessary (just a little). I believe this is the real reason for the healing I received. Thank you Hunter Professional Therapy Team. I hope to use your services in the future.

My treatment plan was personalized specifically to my needs and goals, not just cookie cutter post-op exercises. At each step there was a mixture of exercises I could do fairly easily in order to warm up and build confidence and those that challenged me. When I expressed a need to be able to climb tall stairs and a ladder, exercises were adapted in order for me to accomplish this. Highly recommend.
